A BAYBERRY / EAGLE WATCH WEDDING

FIRST TIME EVER OFFERED -FOR 2008

For the first time ever, we are able to offer for 2008, a unique combination of two of our premier rental properties on the St George River (ocean), together as one for weddings. We are limiting availability to just three events between August and September .

Each year we receive requests from brides & grooms looking for unique waterfront wedding locations on private property with wonderful accommodations onsite. This is an especially challenging request to fulfill anywhere in Maine, but especially in the Midcoast. For 2008, by coincidence, both the owners of Bayberry Cottage and the Eagle Watch property, which are next to each other and connected by a very large (1 acre) flat yard leading to the water's edge, have decided to make their property's available in August & September. POINTS TO CONSIDER

Benefits:

  • Properties located at the end of dead-end Bayberry Lane in Cushing.
  • Bayberry Cottage features a brand new pier & dock for boat access. Eagle Watch has a sandy beach.
  • Plenty of parking in a field attached to the Eagle Watch property
  • Two great locations for tents to be set on the property
  • Bayberry Cottage Garage set-up for caterer use with concealed access, water, electricity and extra refrigeration
  • Unique wedding location with incredible views of lobster boats and yachts sailing by in the St George River
  • Boat delivery to or from dock from ceremony included

Considerations:

  • Wedding size limited to 150 people
  • Portable toilets will be required - 1 for every 50 guests
  • Only 8 people can sleep in each house (16 total). Extra accommodations available nearby.
  • Tents, tables, chairs must be provided by renter
  • Event insurance required
  • Guest must rent both properties for one week minimum - Monday to Monday*
  • Daytime wedding a must - Reception activity must taper down by 7pm on the day of the event

Costs:

  • $9000 for use of both properties and accommodations for 16 people for one week on a Monday to Monday rental basis*
  • ($17,000 - $25,000 estimated cost for a wedding at this spectacular location after tables, chairs, tents, portable toilets, etc are rented and average food costs for an event of 150 people factored in)
