On the Water in Maine is extremely responsive, communication with them is outstanding and very personal.

Piper Cove is a lovely cottage. The owners have paid great attention to detail and the setting is beyond gorgeous. We've stayed on several different lakes in Maine, but this one is the nicest -- big enough to get a little lost in a kayak, quiet and peaceful.

It is always very easy and seamless to work with OTW.

Rockcroft is beautiful, , and the location right on the water makes it a special place. Tastefully furnished, comfy bed, and very private. The view across the bay to Isleboro was just gorgeous. My wife and I enjoyed every minute spent at the property.

On The Water in Maine is a prime example of what a service company should be. The company equivalent of what Maine says about itself: the way life should be. If only every company could follow OTWIM's lead. Tif and Justin, owners, are responsive and helpful in every way. Their houses are prepped with guidance books, posted suggestions, and one quickly sees they have thought the whole rental process through from the renters' point of view. In making the renters' experience good, OTWIM does well. The perfect formula. Our country would be in an even better place if all businesses took this logical approach.

The best aspect of the Stone's Throw house is the long porch right on Rockland's bay. Any time of day there is goings on of interest, from the birds, the tides, the boats, the ferries, the breakwater with the lighthouse at the end, the dry dock where boats are being refurbished across the inlet. One gets a large sky view of the sun rising and falling, the clouds, and the fog forming, retreating, and reforming. The house itself is an usual mix of rooms and passageways, the evident result of numerous renovations and rebuildings over the years. It is chock full of knickknacks, books, games, pictures that the owners have brought into their home from year to year.

This is our second year dealing with On the Water in Maine and they did not disappoint. The rental process was easy. We had to call about a couple of ghings and Justin and Benjamin were wonderful. We plan on coming back in the spring and will be using their services again.

The house was clean, well stocked, plenty of room. The appliances were new and quiet. The house was centrally located for all of our travel needs and Shore Rd is a great place to take daily walks.

Everyone at On the Water is super attentive and lovely.

The view from On the Rocks is unparalleled. We also spend a lot of time sitting on the dock, enjoying the sway of the ocean, the breeze, and watching the cormorants dive for fish.

Rip's View was a great location and house for eight adults of three generations to spend a week. The main floor is close to meeting the requirements of being handicapped accessible. The open space facilitated conversation and group interaction. Although there was not much activity on the water, there was a good view from the house and deck. The well equipped kitchen, outdoor grill, and lobster cooker made meal preparation easy.

What a wonderful little hideaway. An alternate name for the cottage could be Eagle's Nest View. We loved the privacy, the wild life, the quiet, the screened porch and the wonderful chairs on the dock. We spent our days fishing, kayaking and mostly watching the antics of the eagle family, osprey, kingfishers and chipmunks. Exactly what we needed.

Our stay was very nice. Favorite features: the view, the wonderful sea air, the seclusion, the deck, the hummingbird that looked in the window almost everyday.

On the Water owners and staff are the best in the business (my wife and I have been renting camps since the 70's). Highly recommend doing business with the Fords. They set high standards for those they represent and set clear expectations for their guests. The pricing points are kept simple and uncomplicated. If you have a problem or a question, they respond immediately to your concerns. This was our 2nd time renting with them. Both times, excellent service.

Well appointed camp. Kitchen was well stocked with dish ware, eating and cooking utensils. The dining area was spacious. Bedrooms were on smaller side but adequate. Two full baths a plus. Great porch with 2 rockers. I've never seen a camp with a better basement. Very tall ceilings. Looked like freshly poured concrete. Washer/dryer in excellent condition. Would like to have had two more easy chairs in living room. White or light colored curtains plus some additional lighting would have brightened a generally darkened camp. The dock area, grill, fire pit - all good. Having lived in the area for 25 years (1976-2001), we were well aware of the activities available. One of our primary activities was to host some some small barbecues for old friends. They, too, were very impressed with this rental property. Many of them mentioned that they would recommend On the Water to their out of town guests as well.

This is a very professionally run rental company. Much information was provided so that the renter knows what to expect.

The house is beautiful. There are many wonderful features, but if I had to pick one it would have to be the nicely set up dock.

This agency is totally committed to their guests, and makes sure that everything goes smoothly. When we had a question about the TV, Ben, the property manager, made a special trip out on a Sunday morning to explain it to us. They go above and beyond what most people expect from a vacation rental company.

The Periwinkle cottage is a lovely place, with relaxing views of Penobscot Bay from the spacious deck. It is fully equipped and very comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay!

We had a problem with obtaining hot water, and the remarkable giant named BEN solved the situation in record time and with typical Maine expertise and charm. Thanks be unto him!

We very much enjoyed the porch, the view across the reservoir (including the cormorant sitting on a pole jutting out of the water, and the lovely cottage which was well equipped and appropriately decorated for our simple tastes. The art work and the bedroom rug were greatly appreciated. Yes, there was some traffic noise from Route 1 but not at such a level as to bother us or to interfere with our tranquil repose. One small suggestion: it might be helpful to have available a wheelbarrow (or Vermont cart) to more easily convey luggage and groceries to and fro the parking area [full disclosure: I am 79 and very recently had a right total knee replacement!].

Every question we had ahead of time was answered very quickly. Once on the property, Justin responded even quicker!

We had a wonderful week at Washed Ashore. Our kids (ages 6&7) spent hours on the rocks looking for sea creatures. We enjoyed the sandy beach so much as well. The fire pit was a lot of fun at night for smores. My favorite part of the week was reading in the hammock, glancing up at the water from time to time. THe beds were very comfy and the house was well stocked with all the necessities.

The agency was great, as before--responsive and friendly. Thanks Justin and Tiffany.

We loved the deck and the airiness of the house. The master bedroom could have had shades or a curtain to block the 5AM light, but the view was fabulous.

We absolutely loved how clean it felt. The couches were a little low and the small spoons were really small - can you tell I'm digging for problems? We just loved the place. Even the bed was super comfy!
