Located on serene and beautiful Hobbs Pond in Hope, this newer cottage is minutes from the ocean and downtown areas of Camden and Rockland. The property includes a deck, gently rolling lawn, a sandy walk-in at the water's edge and a swim float.
A great spot for fishing, swimming, and boating; Hobbs Pond has been a family favorite spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors without the noise and crowds of some of the larger area lakes. At the water edge is a fire pit and picnic tables as well as a hammock. This is a great vacation spot for a small family looking to get away but still be close to everything.

BOATS INCLUDED? None, however our affiliate company Maine Watercraft Rentals Inc. will rent and deliver/pick-up one of the following boats at the property-19' foot 2019 Bayliner Ski Boat or 2020 Tracker Fishing/Ski Boat-both with 115hp motors. Click HERE to view pricing and to reserve a boat through us. Rental of the boat includes water skis, a tube, kneeboard, and wakeboard. You must meet Maine Watercraft Rentals criteria for renting boats.
If you are looking to rent kayaks, Maine Sport or Ducktrap Kayaks offer those and can deliver them to the Property.
FISHING TRIPS: This is a great property to go fishing from. Maine Guide Mike Kinney can take Guests fishing and will pick them right up at the dock in his boat. Contact Mike through his website at http://mikekinneymaineguide.com/ to reserve a guided fishing trip on Hobbs Pond.
LINENS & TOWELS: The rental of this property includes all bed linens and towels. Beds will be made up upon arrival and there will be one bath towel and wash cloth per listed occupancy, two hand towels per bathroom, one bath mat per full bathroom, and two kitchen towels in the kitchen. Additional bath towels can be rented.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: No, the owner of this property does not require a security deposit, however, guests are still financially responsible for non-accidental damages at the property.

These people are the real deal - the staff at On the Water in Maine. They are willing to spend the time with you to be sure you will be relaxed and happy at their property. A few things needed attention, but they were quickly remedied the night we came in. Justin was friendly, funny, and made sure everything was just right!

Vacationland is on one of the nicest ponds in the central coast area, and the house is sweet. We especially enjoyed the deck overlooking the water. While not a necessity, excellent wi-fi was a nice bonus. We hope to return.

Vacationland was our home away from home for a week! Our favorite part of the property was the view of the lake from the house and the dock/easy access to the lake! This was a our first trip to Maine, our favorite parts about the area were the view from Camden Hills State Park! The best restaurant is Primo in Rockland! While we were here we fished, canoed, hiked, shopped, cooked, and visited local towns.

I appreciated the structure of the rental, with regards to information and clearly outlining the requirements and policy of staying at the property. The "check in" and "check out" process helped in assuring nothing was missed.
During our check in, I spoke with an agent who helped with suggesting good places to eat and some activities in the area, which was a great help.

The property was just what we were looking for on our first trip to Maine. We were somewhat secluded yet close to several very nice towns on the coast. The view, of the lake, from the house was great and offered easy access for launching our kayaks.
We caught a variety of fish; pickerel, large and small mouth bass, and brook trout from Hobbs Pond and considering my fiance' only caught sunfish in the past made it a great experience for her.

This was our second time renting a property from On the Water in Maine and we have been very pleased with the properties, location and knowledgeable staff and the convenience of the internet in signing of documents. It felt like home and was exactly as advertised. I love to cook and entertain and found all things easy to find and set up was very comfortable and made friends with some local families on my early morning walks with our dog Linus. My Husband enjoyed fishing for hours on end and the lake was perfect for the beautiful weather to keep refreshed.
We wish we didn't have to leave early but we did come home feeling rested and with a lot of beautiful memories.
