Seven Lights is located at the end of a peninsula, set on a point of 1.5 acres of land with 650 feet of bold open oceanfront delivering dramatic 180 degree views of bird and sea life (osprey, eagles, seals, whales, fish schools), many islands, lighthouses, and the main boating thoroughfare both into Boothbay Harbor and heading downeast all directly in front of the property in Fisherman’s Passage.
Within the immediate community is the wonderful walk along Shore Road. A couple of minutes down the road to the right is a pebble beach perfect for swimming out to the float or launching a kayak. Just a few minutes in the other direction is the Ocean Point Community Dock where fishing is another fun activity.
The property is beautifully landscaped for privacy and enjoyment of both the fabulous views as well as summer blooms with a variety of different hydrangea and many other flowering plants. The six-person hot tub adds another dimension of fun, and sitting in the Adirondack chairs perched on the hill at the flag pole makes it seem like being close to heaven!
Inside, the spacious living/dining/kitchen area has a pantry, eating island, gas fireplace with raised stone hearth, lovely dining table for 8, a recessed large screen TV on a lift and fabulous views in every direction. The library offers some great Maine reading and a nice selection of games and is located just off the two story main entry.
Upstairs there is a king bedroom with ensuite bath on the landing level with wonderful views to Ram Island Light one mile away. On the next level are 3 more bedrooms: a twin bedroom with views to Ram, Cuckolds and Sequin Lights; another king bedroom with dramatic vaulted ceiling and ensuite bath looking out to Monhegan Island, plus a magical master bedroom with sweeping views of Monhegan, Ram, Cuckolds and Sequin Lights as well as an ensuite bath with a double sink granite topped vanity and oversized marble shower.
The third floor offers a small space in the top of the tower of this modern Victorian style cottage to contemplate the dramatic beauty of this setting. This is the place to let the salt air and summer breezes wash over you, to listen to the soothing ocean lap the shoreline, to enjoy the ever changing views and to simply relax soaking in some of the best of what the coast of Maine has to offer.
Boothbay Harbor is just 15 minutes away and offers a wonderful array of restaurants and boat trips (sailing, fishing, island, and lighthouse/seal watching excursions). The Boothbay Region Land Trust maintains more than 30 miles of great hiking trails. Guests won’t want to miss the nationally recognized Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and their new supersize trolls exhibit. Guests can apply for and take out a two-week vacation membership at Maine’s best golf course at the Boothbay Harbor Country Club offering fabulous golf, a delightful heated salt water pool, and state of the art wellness center.
Pinkham’s Gourmet Seafood and Meat Market in town has everything needed for a great meal. Stop by the Farmer’s Market on the Boothbay Common for wonderful fresh grown veggies and other delectable treats every Thursday morning. Hannaford Grocery Store can help fill in whatever else is needed. Red Cup Coffee has that perfect cup of coffee for a morning walk through town, and Farm 23 has a wonderful assortment of bread and baked goods.
Many local shops in town are fun to peek in and include: Sea Bags (tote bags made from real sails), Sherman’s Book Store (something fun for everyone here), Eventide (olive oils, artisan cheeses, special wines), Coastal Maine Popcorn (amazing variety of flavors made on the premises), Village Store (lovely gifts) and their sister store House of Logan (beautiful clothing), Gleason’s Art Gallery, Mung Bean (curated Maine and American crafts) and plenty more to satisfy those looking to take something special home.
This property is also within easy range for day trips to LLBean in Freeport and Portland (famous for it’s multitude of breweries and lots of other attractions) to the south, Camden/Rockland, Belfast, and a carefully planned outing to very popular Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park to the north (reservations for the park a must).
SECURITY DEPOSIT: Yes, the owner of this property does require a refundable $5000 security deposit at the time of booking which will be refunded within 14 days of departure.

Cleaning: The property will be professionally cleaned before and after the rental. Above normal cleaning charges will be billed to guest at an hourly rate.

Beach Access: Not directly from the property, but there is a beach within a 5 minute walk for swimming and launching kayaks/SUP's. A public float is provided in the cove for swimmers.
Dock/Pier Access: No, not from the property, but the Ocean Point Community Dock right down the street in front of the Ocean Point Inn where boats can pick up and drop off passengers. No kayaks are allowed on the dock but should be launched from the beach nearby.
Community Amenities: Known as the Ocean Point Casino, for a fee, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, weekly events such as ice cream socials and games are available just down the road.
Property Good For Fisherman: No, but chartering fishing tours through Reel Addiction in Boothbay Harbor or Mainetain Fishing Charter from the Ocean Point Community Dock are available. Breakaway Sportfishing has the largest charter boat in the area, a 41 foot Viking, and offers sportfishing as well as sightseeing tours.
