A gorgeous lake rental in Maine; this incredible property is decorated the way you would expect any great Maine lakeside retreat to be furnished. Safe Harbor is on one of the quietest parts of the lake, with little boat traffic and lots of privacy surrounded by pine, you will find yourself wanting to hideout at this property all week. If you do leave, Camden is just 3 miles down the road with all of its attractions, you don't have to look far for amazing restaurants or fun activities.
Inside the lakeside house is a comfortable living room with field stone fire place in the living area. The large primary king bedroom with en suite bathroom is spacious, including double sinks a custom, glass stall shower and separate soaking bath tub. A large kitchen and dining area are a great place to gather over food preparations. A TV room is separate from the living room, so to not disturb those looking to curl up on the couch and enjoy a good book. The upstairs features a hallway laundry area, a shared bathroom with stall shower and tub, as well as two bedrooms. The upstairs king bedroom has a small seating area as well as TV and cable. The king bedroom on the other end of the hall has two twin beds and a TV as well.
The outdoor fire pit sits up on a small hill to overlook the water and dock just a short distance away. This location feels private, even on one of the most popular lakes in Midcoast Maine. The screened in porch is perfect for enjoying the outdoors in the evening. Rent the provided canoe at the property for the week and explore the cove and fish in Megunticook Lake. There really is something for everyone!
BOATS INCLUDED? For $100/week, we offer a canoe to rent at the property (select at booking to add it to your reservation). Also,our affiliate company Maine Watercraft Rentals Inc. will rent and deliver/pick-up one of the following boats at the property - 19' foot 2019 Bayliner Ski Boat or 2020 Tracker Fishing/Ski Boat - both with 115hp motors. You must meet Maine Watercraft Rentals criteria for renting boats.

LINENS & TOWELS: The rental of this property includes all bed linens and towels. Beds will be made up upon arrival and there will be one bath towel and wash cloth per listed occupancy, two hand towels per bathroom, one bath mat per full bathroom, and two kitchen towels in the kitchen. Additional bath towels can be rented.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Safe House. The house itself is beautiful and has everything and more of what you need to stay, be comfortable, and cook for a week. Obviously the lake and the dock stand out but as far as the interior of the house we lived how open and airy it is allowing family to be together while cooking and relaxing. We were very pleased with the overall size and location of Safe Harbor. The house was spacious and very well stocked with everything you would need. The only suggestion we have is to supply some outdoor seating. A picnic table to enjoy lunch at and chairs on the dock would be a great addition. It was wonderful to be back on Meguntacook Lake!!!

Even though you don't see anyone from the company (ever), they are on top of everything! They where very responsive to questions and concerns that we had and responded very fast when we had an issue.

The house was amazing! Everything about it was perfect! Let's start by the kitchen. Very well equipped with high-end appliances. A lot of variety in pots and pans as well as a nice sized sink and excellent dishwasher.
The master bedroom is beautiful with a beautiful porch.
The rooms at the top level are very comfortable with large closet space. Also, washer and dryer are excellent!
