This custom-built, two-bedroom, two-bath modern home has been a guest favorite since it joined On the Water in Maine. Thoughtfully designed for one-level living, Seahaus sits on 3.5 private acres with 400 feet of private waterfront on Penobscot Bay. Comfortable modern furnishings and features fill the home, and it's been featured in both Maine Home + Design and Décor Maine.
Seahaus is a beautiful example of "Japandi" style, a blend of Japanese and Scandinavian design inspired by wabi-sabi, the art of finding beauty in natural materials that age gracefully. The exterior is clad in cedar, with accents charred using the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique. Inside, the chef's kitchen pairs warm wood cabinetry with steel countertops, a large stove, and refurbished vintage factory lights. In one of the bathrooms, a four-foot-tall window opens so you can hear the waves while you bathe, surrounded by the soothing scent of Japanese Hinoki wood. With everything on one level, you can step out almost any door and head straight down to the shore.
Enjoy the outdoors to the fullest with a private outdoor shower and soaking tub, perfect after a day of sea kayaking. As evening falls, relax on the open deck facing the water with cocktails, or gather around one of the two fire pits, one near the house and one right by the ocean.
With views of Penobscot Bay, Seahaus is centrally located just minutes from Lincolnville and a short drive from downtown Camden's shops and restaurants and the hiking trails of Camden Hills State Park. Belfast is about 20 minutes north. After a day of sailing, hiking, dining, or exploring anywhere in the Midcoast, you'll be happy to come home to this peaceful retreat.
BOATS INCLUDED? None; however, kayak and SUP rentals are available from Ducktrap Kayak & SUP in Lincolnville and Maine Sport Outfitters in Rockport, both of which can deliver to the property.

Property Manager: We've had several choices over the years and continue to choose OTW because of their professionalism, cleanliness, house instructions, & communications. – Property: We have a college athlete so spend most of our falls in Maine and continue to choose Seahaus to be our home away from home. It by far has been our favorite rental property. Such nice neighbors, peaceful, well-maintained, comfortable furniture, and gorgeous architecture. The area is one of our favorites: beautiful beach, great restaurants, close bakery/coffee shop and easy access to Camden Hills hiking as well as Acadia. Perfection in every way.

Well stocked with kitchenware, bathrooms were both in full operation without any issues. Master bed was comfortable and plenty of closet space. Great outdoor space. Quiet and peaceful.
