This is an L.L. Bean style furnished 4 bedroom log cabin on a private 1/2 acre point of an island in Cobbosseecontee Lake that is accessible via a private road over a causeway.

The 4th bedroom is a Bunkhouse” located 75 feet from the main house. The Bunkhouse is a nice retreat for a couple wishing privacy from the crowd in the main house and has been quite popular in the past.

While this property can accommodate sleeping for up to 10 people, it is not a large cabin, and for 8 or more people to be stuck inside on a rainy day, the cabin can feel crowded. Make sure your group plans on being outside often.

On the waterfront, there is a pier/dock great for tying up your fishing boat - or one of our rental boats. The shoreline is made up of small jagged rocks to protect erosion of the lawn into the lake. From the there, the bottom is muddy. So, if you plan on swimming at the property - you'll want to do so from the dock and not the shore.

The property has an expansive waterfront access with incredible views to the west promising full sun all afternoon as well as spectacular sunsets. There is also a large fire pit at the water's edge where many evenings can be enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the fire.

For an additional $550, the owner will provide a newer 14' aluminum boat with 15 horsepower outboard motor.

This is a great property for the wild life lover. Lots of birds and water mammals pass by the property every hour.

The property is 5 miles west of Interstate 95 and near the world famous Monmouth Shakespearian Theater. While in a quite rural location, the property is less than 20 minutes from the State Capital, Augusta. In Augusta, you have access to major restaurants, shopping centers, and movie theaters.

While swimming is possible at this property, some grass near the dock boasts an atmosphere more for the fisherman than the swimmer. Many past renters head out into the lake to swim.
