Every encounter over the many months from rental to arrival with On the Water in Maine was pleasant. The response time was almost automatic and helpful. Justin, the owner, even came out Sunday am after we got there with a homemade remedy to a problem! Professional, friendly and helpful!
From the moment you pull in the drive and see the Bay through the windows you feel the stress of the world leave your body. This home is wonderful. From the views from the living area, the infinity hot tub, the heated bathroom floors and the magical feel of the sitting window in the master, one may never want to leave. The home is well appointed in every way. The beds are wonderful! listening to the waves every night when we went to sleep and waking up to the sunrise every morning right outside the window....ahhhhhhhh. We LOVED this home!

All the phone and email contacts were handled very efficiently. The check in and check out procedures were very clear and easy to understand.
Spectacular view! Love the large porch and large dining tables, both inside and out.
Master bedroom was very comfortable although the closet arrangement was odd.
We had guests with us and they had no closet at all in the Guest room.
Master bathroom and shower were very nice - great supply of hot water. Very small gust bath but stall shower worked well.
Kitchen had the basics but could use more pans. The disposal did not work well and the sink did not drain properly.
BUT the location and ocean view made up for those deficiencies . Didn't watch much TV but they worked well - really appreciated the easy to use remotes.

Location, location, location! Our stay could not have been better. The view of the water was outstanding and the seclusion in the woods was wonderful! The sunrises were spectacular and it was fun to watch the dolphin, seal and lobster boats from the deck. The amenities truly met our expectations. Linens were fresh, good quality, the bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked! The owners did a great job putting the extra touches on their home that they so graciously share with others! Thanks for helping us celebrate our retirement and 46th wedding anniversary!

Comment from Guest - Your company was easy to work with.
Comment from On the Water in Maine - This Guest gave our company a 2.5 star rating after her stay this past September. In her comments, she felt that we imposed too many rules and restrictions at the property. While all the over 8 weeks of rentals for 2015 are by repeat guests that stayed at the property in 2014, and none of them shared those feelings with us, and all still are coming back, we are reviewing the presentation of the property information to ensure that all our Guests feel welcome in the property and that too many requests are not made of them. Additionally, the Guest didn't think the property was cleaned to the standards that she should have seen. While the Guest never informed us when she was in residence that any cleaning issues existed, we won't disregard her comments and will ensure that we work harder to make the property clean and up to the standards that all our guests expect from us. Note the 2 Surveys by Guests in October, AFTER this Guest's stay below that are both 5-Star.
Comment from Guest - We stayed at Rockcroft cabin late September. The location of the cabin was great for the sight seeing and tourist activities.
Comment from On the Water in Maine - We believe the 3-star rating on this property from the Guest had a lot to do with her comments that we address above, still, she thought some of the furniture was old and "shabby" and that some stains on the rugs needed to be addressed. We are reviewing and addressing all her concerns to ensure that this 5-star property continues to get 5-star scoring. Note the 2 Surveys by Guests in October, AFTER this Guest's stay below that are both 5-Star.

On the Water in Maine could not have been easier to work with. We created a problem by locking ourselves out while tubbing on a Sunday, and they could not have handle it better or more efficiently.
Everyone hopes for a true Maine experience when booking lodging via the NET. This is it! If the number of beds meets your needs, DO NOT pass on this property. From the dramatic driveway, to the stone fireplace, to the modern well-stocked kitchen, to the huge windows and deck overlooking the sea 20 feet away, to the hot tub, to the heated bathroom floors....remarkable! Great value. Make a great decision and choose this property.

I had total confidence that our choice was going to be great~ the complete set of pictures we could view, was wonderful.

It was all that was promised and more! The property was fantastic~ well equipped and very well-appointed, right down to a
