Built in 1850, this old style Captains House has incredible views and access of Lincolnville Beach directly across the street. The home has had numerous updates including a fully renovated kitchen to accommodate contemporary stainless steel appliances, new flooring, and furnishing. Directly off the kitchen is access to two separate outdoor spaces; one has a bistro style table for 2 in a patio setting and a charcoal grill; the next area is a large outdoor dining table, chairs and umbrella to enjoy dining in the sun. The 4 person outdoor Jacuzzi hot tub (serviced professionally once per week), allows enjoyment for three-seasons with views of the Atlantic. The classic attention to detail with antiques throughout have kept the mixed old world feel. The main floor also consists of a large dining room which enters into a private office and full bathroom with a large glass shower. Continuing through to the large living room with comfortable couches, one is a full sized bed pullout, facing toward the flat screen TV as well as views of Lincolnville Beach.
Walking up the original staircase to the second floor, at the top of the stairs is a shared full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Continue through a large walk-in closet to one of the front queen bedrooms with a large flat screen TV and spectaular views of the beach. The second queen bedroom is across the hall and then leads to a small hallway which opens to the bedroom with 2 twin beds and dressers - perfect for kids! There is also a back stairway which leads down to the kitchen.
The third floor California King Bedroom is an amazing part of this house! This large room runs the length of the house and has panoramic views of the beach and water from each window. The large and comfortable furnishings create a separate sitting room with a large flat screen TV.
Directly across the street, McLaughlin's Lobster Shack serves fresh and fried seafood as well as ice cream cones! Further down the street is the Lobster Pound, Whales Tooth Pub for a great burger and live music, Chez Michel is a French fine dining restaurant with a great happy hour. The Beach Store has basic grocery needs, fresh subs, pizza and drinks! Take the ferry to Isleboro for the day and enjoy exploring more of the coastline! The property is 10 minutes to downtown Camden and 15 minutes to Belfast. A great location along the scenic coast for daytrips to Bar Harbor.
LINENS & TOWELS: The rental of this property includes all bed linens and towels. Beds will be made up upon arrival and there will be one bath towel and wash cloth per listed occupancy, two hand towels per bathroom, one bath mat per full bathroom, and two kitchen towels in the kitchen. Additional bath towels can be rented.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: No, the owner of this property does not require a security deposit, however, guests are still financially responsible for non-accidental damages at the property.
OFF-SEASON PRICING: In order to make some of our larger properties more attractive to smaller groups in the Off-Season, we've created a Custom Pricing Option. Pricing for rentals that occur in the advertised Off Season (1/1/19-6/15/19 and 9/7/19-12/31/19)for this property are based on 4 people. Additional people, up to the maximum allowed for the property, will be charged an additional $175 per person - per week if a rental occurs in these time-periods. Guest must select this option during the reservation process.
