Sunrise over Cadillac is a cozy cottage with the best of both worlds – steps to the beach and a short walk to downtown – with panoramic ocean views of Belfast Bay and Penobscot Bay. With options for sitting on one of two decks in Adirondack chairs, relaxing on the hammock, sitting at the picnic table on the sloping lawn, or walking down the stairs to the beach , you can play, read, relax, or dine, have a glass of wine in the evening, or a cup of coffee in the morning, all with views of Cadillac Mountain.
When you first arrive at the cottage, you are welcomed with an ocean view backdrop that changes with the tide and weather. Walking into the house, you will find a large kitchen with new modern appliances, glassware, cookware and a propane gas range. There is a full bathroom with tub/shower and washer/dryer all conveniently located on the first floor. The kitchen leads into an open concept dining room/living room area with comfortable seating for 6-8 guests to sit around at mealtime, and a living room with an oversized couch and chairs for enjoying each other's company. In the den, you’ll find comfortable seating and a Smart TV for a rainy day or evening viewing of your favorite movies. From the living room, you can venture onto the deck and then down onto the lawn, lower deck, and take the stairs down to the beach, which invites beachcombing, launching kayaks, or walking to Heritage Waterfront Park at low tide.
Walking up to the second floor, all three bedrooms have expansive views of the ocean and are nicely appointed. The master bedroom has a king bed, ample closet space, a desk and comfortable upholstered desk chair while down the hall are two other bedrooms for additional guests and children – one with a queen-sized bed and the other with two twin beds (which can be combined to make a king). At the end of the hall, there is another full bath with a tub/shower.
Downtown Belfast, including Belfast Harbor and its quaint Main Street, are a short walk from the cottage. The Belfast Co-Op has local produce, Maine craft beers, fresh bread, and groceries, and Hannaford is just a couple of miles away. Belfast used to be a fishing village which has developed into a quaint town with boutique shops, bookstores, art galleries, antique stores, restaurants, a theater, a brewery, and the Front Street Shipyard. The Rail Trail is a well-manicured 2 ½ mile walking path running along the Passagassawakeag River, which continues winding around the Belfast Harbor waterfront and down to the Heritage Waterfront Park. Throughout the summer, the town has Arts in the Park, the Celtic Festival, Belfast Harbor Days and more! There is a great weekly, year-round Farmers Market. Enjoy delicious food at Chase’s Daily (a semi-finalist for James Beard Awards for several years) or enjoy delicious burgers or seafood in a casual and pub-like atmosphere at Darby’s, lunch at Meanwhile in Belfast, sandwiches at Bay Wrap, or pizza at Alexias. Afternoon trips to Acadia and Camden are easy from this location, or catch a ferry to one of the islands from nearby Rockland.

Town Info - Bayside Village, Northport, Belfast, & Stockton Springs
Really two towns (legally) - Belfast and Northport are neighbors, and then Bayside is located inside of the town of Northport. While only a short distance from coastal Route 1, Bayside remains a well-kept secret; a small hamlet that takes one back to a simpler, uncomplicated time. A few years back, DownEast Magazine did a great article on Bayside that is still mostly relevant today. Click HE...
