Built in 2013, this beautiful waterfront home has become one of our more popular rentals - and certainly gets some of the best reviews! (Be sure to read them below). It features 200 feet of pebbly waterfront shore on a large sandy cove. Past guests have loved spending the day at the beach in front of the home. It is accessible by a private stairwell just off the wonderfully landscaped large backyard. The beach from the front of the property extends to and around Stover's Point beach, which is ideal for long walks. Kayaks, canoes can be launched from the property at high tide and the cove is well protected. The fully fenced-in yard is ideal for your furry four-legged traveling companion!
From the expansive private deck or screened porch enjoy the incredible views of birds, an occasional seal, and other forms of coastal wildlife. The water seems to almost lap up against the property. Sailboats and lobster boats often go by - there is always something moving within sight of the property on the water. On Saturdays in August watch for the sailboat races in the harbor. Take a 5-minute drive down to the end of the peninsula to Erica's Seafood for a fresh lobster roll or enjoy Maine-caught oysters at The Dolphin Restaurant with amazing panoramic views of the ocean. Uncle Pete's Community Market is just minutes away and has all your basic grocery needs as well as deli sandwiches, delicious pizza for take-out, and a basic alcohol selection.
This gorgeous cottage faces Harpswell Sound with spectacular sunrises and offers a nice view of the Cribstone Bridge located between Orr’s & Bailey’s Islands. Celebrate the 4th of July from the perfect location where you can view the fireworks across the harbor from the deck! The large yards in the front and back are well-groomed and conducive to family games. The entire yard facing the water is fenced in to keep little ones in your party close by. Join the town of Harpswell and Brunswick for their Annual 4th of July Parade, live music performances, and delicious food!
Beachcomber is only minutes to downtown Brunswick which boasts many eclectic and gourmet restaurants for dining as well as numerous shops, cafes, and bookstores. The Maine State Theater has live performances of all the beloved musical classics as well as orchestral performances. The Brunswick Farmers Market is every Tuesday & Friday from May through November "On the Mall" right in the heart of town. On rainy days, take the kids to see a movie at Regal Cinemas or play a string of bowling at Yankee Lanes just minutes away.
Added bonus, the Beachcomber property is only a 45-minute drive to downtown Portland which was announced as the number one destination for Micro-Breweries in the United States - along with fine dining options, the Maine Mall, enjoy a performance at the Portland Symphony Orchestra, catch a Portland Sea Dog's baseball game (field team for the Boston Red Sox) at Hadlock Field.

No problems at all...from first booking to arrival to departure. Everything was organized and well-managed. Had an absolutely great experience.
This was our second time at Beachcomber. We love it! Favorite feature is being able to kayak off our own beach! It's a fantastic house. It's great that there are three levels...with bathrooms on all three. We LOVE the deck and watching the fishing boats. With our dog, it's especially helpful to have a fenced-in backyard, too

Excellent. It was a very easy and carefully planned transaction.
The location was wonderful both private and safe for children and dogs. House well appointed and generally comfortable.
The view, location and house were excellent. We really liked the Harpswell area. Enjoyed exploring, hiking, sailing and valence of eating out and preparing meals for porch eating. The house was immaculate. Thank you to the very professional cleaning lady we met. Appliances all excellent. The fire pit and BBQ were utilized and enjoyed. The screened porch and deck enjoyed.

Everyone seemed attentive to inquiries and provided the necessary information.
We loved the house. It was a great layout for us and our 3 adult children (2 with significant others) and a small dog. The main living area was nice and open and convenient to the deck and a sunroom which was a favorite for morning coffee. The view was a highlight and being able to walk down to the water was great. It had a very nice lawn that we would have used more if the weather had been less intermittently wet. It was probably the best-equipped kitchen we've stayed in with plenty of baking, cocktail, and cookware and sufficient plates, bowls, glasses, etc. for the number in the house.

To be honest we love everything about this house. Location, size, layout, furnishings. Just delightful. The house was so clean. We were worried about dog hair from prior renters and there was none..top notch cleaning in my opinion.

Excellent service time and time again.
Too many nice things to mention but it was a super nice treat to have a secure fenced in yard for our dog.
But must mention the view, the beach, the deck furniture, the privacy and the air conditioning.

You folks were very pleasant and easy to work with - and very responsive to all our questions.
We loved the property! It was perfect for a three generation family gathering. The view from the top floor was fabulous and I loved the sunrise every morning from the upper deck! Private yet open backyard and nice stairway to the water - kids loved playing in the water every day. And very easy access to local needs - restaurants, groceries, etc. In our minds a perfect Maine getaway cottage.

Working with the On the Water Maine team was great. Folks were helpful and responsive. Definitely felt like I was dealing with nice people, not just a company. I've used VRBO and other booking sites in the past. I found dealing with On the Water Maine much easier and more efficient. My questions were answered quickly and pleasantly.
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Beachcomber. Being right on the water was perfect for launching our kayaks. We spent most of our time out on the lovely deck overseeing the water. Inside was comfy and spacious, and absolutely spotless! We got delicious take-out from Estes and Erica's, hiked on some of the local preserves. Especially loved the Giant's Stairs. Please thank our cleaning lady. The place was sparkling clean.

The location (on the water & near Brunswick) was perfect for what we needed. The home itself was very clean, appeared recently updated, and was furnished with high quality furniture, appliances, gas grill, etc.! The kitchen was very well stocked, though in need of a good can opener! I felt like we were staying in a friends vacation home!
Absolutely beautiful home and property! I truly felt like we were staying in a friends home! Beautifully furnished, well stocked kitchen, a beautiful, new looking dog bed, nice linens, great appliances with a fabulous Weber gas grill, beach access and a private beach, large fenced yard, very spacious & roomy! We had 6 adults & two small children, but plenty of room for all to be together or out of each others way for a whole week! Felt like we were out & away from towns & cities, but close enough to run to the store or pop into town for some fun!

Working with On the Water in Maine was a very positive experience. Paige was extremely helpful with planning our trip and answering questions as they came up. She was always just a phone call away-practically day or night.
The vacation house on Stover's Cove in Harpswell was a gem for all 8 adults and one very energetic and nature loving 3 year old. The house itself presented a very clean, updated open floor plan with well equipped kitchen flowing into the main living room area, large adjoining deck and glass/screened in sunroom. All provided beautiful water views for our family to enjoy together while we were eating meals, board game playing by the glow of the gas fire place on a cool night, star gazing, or catching a favorite movie on the new big screen TV. The new Weber grill on deck was a hit with the grill master among our group! The generously sized and comfortably furnished 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was perfect for our large group. The young family with the 3 year old utilized the bedroom in the media room which gave them access to the large fenced in yard for early morning exploring. We enjoyed the views from the master bedroom suite with its own deck for not only beautiful sunrises but passing lobster boats, sailboats and star gazing. The skylight window above the bed gave additional starry night views. Easy access to the pebbly beach allowed our family to all try our hand at fishing and kayaking. The cove is perfect for both beginner and experienced kayakers with additional views of the area. We also took full advantage of the easily accessed hiking trails and preserves within short driving distance. The Giant Stairs was the most impressive of the trails we hiked. We spent half a day at Pott's Point investigating the tidal pools and beaches followed by lobster rolls at Este's restaurant. Don't miss a meal or two (or three) out at Erica's lobster shack. Lobsters come in right off the boat, and Tom is a trip.

The Beachcomber is a spacious, comfortable home, with lovely beachhouse decor. We liked the position on a small bluff above the shore, with steps leading down. The master bedroom view which faces east to the water was excellent as was its deck. We loved waking up in the morning with the sun coming in through the glass doors to the deck. Main floor deck was very nice as well, with comfortable outdoor furniture and gas grill. And we also enjoyed the screened in porch which was exposed to the late afternoon sun. The view from the deck which looks out to Stovers Point is however partly obscured by a large tree in the yard.
