This is the vacation rental house you have been looking for! A quintessential Maine getaway, Great Oaks is a rental overlooking Penobscot Bay with a stunning 180-degree view of the bay and offshore islands. The house is surrounded by lawn and luscious gardens with a large slate patio overlooking the bay. Great Oaks has no direct water access, but Lincolnville Beach is just one mile away with its sandy beach, shops, and casual dining and takeout. Lake Megunticook with its sandy beach and picnic area is an eight-mile drive located at Barrett's Cove of Rt 52 in Camden.

Great Oaks is an exquisitely decorated with comfort and style considered throughout. It is well designed for either a couple to enjoy the first floor living, or for additional guests to accommodate the upstairs living as well. Each bedroom is complimented with its own bathroom with an additional half bathroom off of the kitchen for convenience. The downstairs suite contains a queen bed, a double sink vanity and a large custom tiled shower. Upstairs, you will find a large king primary suite with views from every window. There is a large Smart TV on the wall and an ensuite bath with a double vanity, commode closet and large tiled shower. Down the hall a room with two twins, large closets and its own tub/shower bathroom resides.

This house is situated for easy day trips north to Lincolnville Town Center, Belfast or Acadia, or south into Camden. You also don't need to travel anywhere because the peace and tranquilly of the view and your surroundings while enjoying a cocktail or a book from the couch is enough of a vacation!

LINENS & TOWELS: The rental of this property includes all bed linens and towels.  Beds will be made up upon arrival and there will be one bath towel and wash cloth per listed occupancy, two hand towels per bathroom, one bath mat per full bathroom, and two kitchen towels in the kitchen.  Additional VIP bath towels can be rented.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: Yes, a $250 Refundable Security Deposit is required by the owner. The security deposit is due 90 Days prior to arrival and refunded within 30 days after a successful departure.

Great Oaks was spectacular! We loved the well stocked 'cooks kitchen' with every quality implement one would need. The gardens were an unexpected delight and may have been my personal favorite; or perhaps it was the view! Exquisite attention to detail is reflected in every aspect of the property.

Despite the fact that it rained every single day and the water was only visible for a window in 2 afternoons, we still love this place. Our favorite feature is by far the water view. The gardens are lovely as well and spectacular bright spot in the June gloom! House is very nicely equipped, making for a great visit on those evenings you want to cook in.

Great Oaks was a wonderful property. The master bed was too hard and we bought and left a mattress topper. Wished the master bed was a king size but the room and view were overall a wonderful experience. We would have loved a fire pit or ability to make a fire.

Lincolnville is on the coast with lakes, ponds and the ocean beaches - while Searsmont is inland from Lincolnville and has several great ponds and lakes with great fishing. At popular Lincolnville Beach, sections of sand and pebbles (depending on the tide) draw visitors for play and relaxation. The shallow water is ideal for wading on a warm day.
