This high-end, custom built quintessential lakefront cottage is idyllically located — and just 30 feet from its own private dock on Norton Pond.  The guest cottage was also spared no expense when it was built and is just across the camp road from the main cottage. With lake frontage and views from most rooms, you will feel like you have found the perfect spot for relaxation and family fun. 

Upon entering Lake Escape, you are greeted with a deluxe kitchen with custom cabinetry, a dining room, and large living room complete with custom cabinery and stainless steel appliances all overlooking the Pond.  Down the hall you will find the primary king bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a hall bathroom with laundry as well.  Up the open stairwell, there are two queen bedrooms with built-in seating and desk areas. There is a hall bathroom with a tub shower for both to share. 

The guest cottage across the camp road provides other accommodations for a couple or small family that would like some privacy or just some additional space to read a book or watch a movie. The cottage has a king bedroom and a room with one queen and one twin. The custom bathroom is shared. The cottage features a kitchenette and living room area with a 48 in wall-mounted Smart TV.

Lake Escape is just an 8-minute drive into downtown Camden and Penobscot Bay waterfront. The cottage is walking distance to the Lincolnville General Store, which offers grocery basics, as well as, gourmet entrees and pizza, along with local organic produce. Lincolnville Beach is a short 10-minute drive and Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are less than 2 hours from the house for a perfect day trip up scenic Route 1.

The yard is beautifully landscaped and well-manicured with a lot of privacy with two fire pits and hammock by the water's edge to enjoy your peaceful time at the lake. 







 

BOATS INCLUDED? None, however our affiliate company Maine Watercraft Rentals Inc. will rent and deliver/pick-up one of the following boats at the property - 19' foot 2019 Bayliner Ski Boat or 2020 Tracker Fishing/Ski Boat - both with 115hp motors. Click HERE to view pricing and to reserve a boat through us. Rental of the boat includes water skis, a tube, kneeboard, and wakeboard. You must meet Maine Watercraft Rentals criteria for renting boats. 
If you are looking to rent kayaks, Maine Sport or Ducktrap Kayaks offer those and can deliver them to the Property or Port Harbor Marine for a motor boat.

FISHING TRIPS: This is a great property to go fishing from. Maine Guide Mike Kinney can take Guests fishing and will pick them right up at the dock in his boat. Contact Mike through his website  to reserve a guided fishing trip on Megunticook Lake.

OCCUPANCY OFF-SEASON / GUEST HOUSE: Prior to June 22nd and after September 21st, to add the guest house on to the rental and increase the occupancy from 6 people to up to 10 people, an additional rental of $525 is required (plus associated taxes and fees).  Guest must select this during the reservation process.  If you don't choose to rent it - no one else will occupy it.  

LINENS & TOWELS: The rental of this property includes all bed linens and towels. Beds will be made up upon arrival and there will be one bath towel and wash cloth per listed occupancy, two hand towels per bathroom, one bath mat per full bathroom, and two kitchen towels in the kitchen. Additional bath towels can be rented.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: Yes, a $250 Refundable Security Deposit is required for all transactions.  The security deposit is due 90 Days prior to arrival and refunded within 30 days of departure.

Smoking Is Not Permitted anywhere on or inside of any of our rental properties nor are those who may partake in tobacco smoking allowed to occupy any of our properties.

Occupancy may not exceed what is posted for this cottage. Maximum occupancy could include infants and children. This cottage has a delicate septic system that requires care to be taken on water usage. The insurance certificate for the cottage is for 4 people only, regardless of age.

Amenities offered through On the Water in Maine Inc. are not available at all the properties we offer for rent. Boat Rentals through Maine Watercraft Rentals Inc. are offered Sunday morning to Friday after 4pm and include free delivery to the property.
