White Pines is one of the only rental properties on Megunticook Lake with a lawn leading down to the lake. It is located in the oldest developed section of the lake near the dam - where everyone wants to be. This property meets every description of a traditional Maine lakeside vacation retreat. The property has received attention and updates year after year, but the flat yard leading to a deep water dock is really all you need! The property continues to be at the peak of excellence going into 2021.

Details
BOATS INCLUDED? None, however our affiliate company Maine Watercraft Rentals Inc. will rent and deliver/pick-up one of the following boats at the property - 19' foot 2019 Bayliner Ski Boat or 2020 Tracker Fishing/Ski Boat - both with 115hp motors. Rental of the boat includes water skis, a tube, kneeboard, and wakeboard. You must meet Maine Watercraft Rentals criteria for renting boats. If you are looking to rent kayaks or stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), Maine Sport or Ducktrap Kayaks offer those and can deliver them to the Property.
LINENS & TOWELS: The rental of this property includes all bed linens and towels. Beds will be made up upon arrival and there will be one bath towel and washcloth per listed occupancy, two hand towels per bathroom, one bath mat per full bathroom, and two kitchen towels in the kitchen. Additional bath towels can be rented.
OFF-SEASON PRICING: In order to make some of our larger properties more attractive to smaller groups in the Off-Season, we've created a Custom Pricing Option. Pricing for rentals that occur in the advertised Off Season (mid-September through mid-June) for this property are based on 4 people. Additional people, up to the maximum allowed for the property, will be charged an additional $175 per person - per week if a rental occurs in these time-periods. Guest must select this option during the reservation process.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: Yes, a $500 Refundable Security Deposit is required by the owner. The security deposit is due 90 Days prior to arrival and refunded within 30 days after a successful departure.

This place is so wonderful. Visited for a week in September with group of 14 and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. Being right on the lake was most enjoyable.

This is an agency that clearly cares about everyone's experience. I had no problems whatsoever with the process, and communications were thorough and timely. The only thing I wish I had realized earlier was that you also rent paddleboards. (We rented from another place, but it would have been easier to just have them as part of the house rental. We had a great stay at White Pines. The house is spacious and comfortable and the new kitchen is very nice and well equipped. The best thing about it, of course, is the location on the lake, with plenty of yard to run around in, a nice dock to launch boats and swim from, a great outside stone fireplace for toasting marshmallows, and a deck if you just want to sit and take in the views from above.

A pleasant comfortable house in our favorite part of the lake. Really enjoyed the flat lawn leading to the lake. Morning coffee on the deck and evening cocktails on the lawn near the water were very enjoyable. Great location to swim, paddle board, or kayak. Would definitely rent this house again.

We have been working with On the Water in Maine for the last 4 vacations, and we will continue to do so, because they are so efficient. We know we will have a great experience because they take care of every detail.

It suits our 3 families , son, his wife, w girls, daughter, husband , 2 girls, and the 2 of us. The one big bedroom withe it's own bath is perfect for the girls, and the parents have a room each with a big shared bath. We have a large bedroom on first floor with walk in closet and bath. The rooms all have a great view of the lake, and it doesn't feel like work to cook in the remodeled kitchen with panoramic view.
