Located on the Northwestern shore of beautiful Coleman Pond, this quaint cottage is in an idyllic vacation setting. The property has pond frontage with views of the water from the deck and almost every room of the cottage.
Welcoming you when you arrive at the property is a comfortable, nicely furnished and well-maintained Maine lakeside retreat. At the water's edge, there is a dock for fishing or swimming. The area near the dock is only 3-4 feet deep but you can swim out to where it is deeper very easily. Coleman Pond is 223 acres and fishing for small and large mouth bass and white perch is a popular pastime.
This property is great for a family with children that is looking for a traditional lakeside vacation in Maine in a clean, nicely furnished atmosphere.
Coleman Pond is located 8 miles North of Camden and 11 miles south of Belfast. The nearby Drake Corner Store has pizza, sandwiches, beer, wine, some groceries and even fishing tackle.
BOATS INCLUDED? None, however, if you are looking to rent SUPs or kayaks, Maine Sport or Ducktrap Kayaks offer those and can deliver them to the Property.

We loved the house, as we did when we rented it in 2015. The location is perfect, the pond is beautiful, and the house itself is incredibly warm and comfortable. This year, however, we had a few hurdles that made our stay a bit difficult: first, the presence of yellow jacket nests all over the outside of the house. These things are bound to happen in Maine, but I am deathly allergic, and given all the renters who doubtless stay over the course of a season, I would have thought that a caretaker would have been more on the ball to keep up with them. More than once we were strafed by them, which prevented us from spending as much time on the deck as we would have liked. Second, the neighbors were incredibly noisy; one talked at the top of her lungs at 6:30 am every morning, their dog ran loose all over the rental property, we came home from Camden one day to find them having a party and a jacked-up pickup truck was parked in the driveway on the rental property. Kind of a drag, considering we go to Maine for quiet. Overall, it was a delightful stay, albeit challenging at times.

This was a lovely cabin that was accurately portrayed in the online photos. We appreciated the multiple beds since we had four teenagers with us; they each had their own! We ate most meals at the cabin and found the cookware and appliances were quite adequate for our needs--especially the lobster pot! It was great to have a washer and dryer available. The towels and bed sheets were clean and of decent quality; the towels may have even been brand-new. Enjoyed quite a few evenings working on jigsaw puzzles we found in the home. We were pleasantly surprised to find a campfire pit on site (it had not been listed in the property description)!
The property description mentioned a K Cup coffee maker, but there was not one there. It was completely acceptable that just a regular style coffee maker was present, but we would not have brought our K cups on our 12 hour drive had we known we wouldn't be able to use them. We did ask upon check-in why the floating dock was not yet installed, but we were told that the owner did not have a chance to get it in the water (we were on property June 17-24). We were told it might be put in during the week, but no one ever came to do so. This was a major disappointment for our kids. In fact, it was one of the amenities that had helped us to choose this particular property. This wooded property lot is located on the shores of a lovely, quiet pond, but we were only able to appreciate that silence for the first two days. Monday morning at 7am the construction crew showed up next door and worked every day that week. While a neighbor's renovation project is completely out of the property's owners control we would have appreciated a courtesy notification prior to our arrival disclosing this issue.
We had a wonderful, relaxing week in this cozy and inviting cabin on beautiful Coleman Pond despite these issues.

We had a wonderful stay at the Coleman Pond Cottage. The house was beautifully situated above the pond with a great view of the water from the deck, and the dock was the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee (or a cocktail) while watching the loons and great blue herons look for their own breakfast (or dinner). The interior of the cottage was spotless and very comfortably decorated. The owners have done a great job providing an unfussy yet vey attractive environment that's perfect for relaxing. We're already looking forward to coming back!

The rental property was beautiful. The inside exceeded our expectations. Well maintained, quiet, and well stocked. Only suggestion would be for an easier access to the pond, such as stairs down from the deck. We also would have enjoyed ceiling fans in the bedrooms.

Town Info - Lincolnville & Searsmont
Lincolnville is on the coast with lakes, ponds and the ocean beaches - while Searsmont is inland from Lincolnville and has several great ponds and lakes with great fishing. At popular Lincolnville Beach, sections of sand and pebbles (depending on the tide) draw visitors for play and relaxation. The shallow water is ideal for wading on a warm day.
