This four-bedroom well-appointed home is perfect for a couple or family looking to get away and enjoy a stay in Midcoast Maine. The idyllic neighborhood setting and stylish cottage decor provide a great Maine coast retreat close to dining, shopping and sightseeing. Located right off Rockport Harbor with great views and only 1/4 mile from the public dock and beach. Built in 1881, the house has updated furnishings and appliances while maintaining classic antique charm. Please read the property description carefully as there are two buildings on the property comfortably sleeping 8 people with 2 full bathrooms. 

Situated at the head of Rockport Harbor, this property is conveniently located to all that Camden/Rockport area has to offer. Small and beautiful Rockport is on the west side of Penobscot Bay, between Rockland and Camden. Fifty years ago, Rockport was home to lobstermen and fishermen who built their weirs in the harbor, but today the harbor is mainly for pleasure boats. Launch a kayak from the dock in the harbor nearby and paddle the harbor, keeping a watchful eye out for harbor seals.  The property owner provides space on a rack a short walk away at the harbor to store your kayaks, or some that you may rent, so you can have easy access to them.

As you arrive at the property, there is off street parking enough for 2-3 cars and a lovely view of the harbor from the front yard and deck at the main house. Walking into the house there is a spaciously, well-equipped kitchen and 4 person dining table for early morning coffee or breakfast as well as a laundry room and storage area for luggage or kayaks/water toys. A formal dining room is directly off the kitchen as well as a comfortable living room with a flatscreen TV. The only bathroom in the main house is off the dining room and is a tub/shower combination. On the far end of the house, there are 2 separate queen rooms - one faces the water with a TV and the other is toward the back of the house with well appointed furnishings. 

Continuing up to the second floor there is a small landing with reading chairs that are between the front queen bedroom with a large closet and then a second bedroom with 2 twin beds, large closet, and TV. 

The guest cottage is a few steps from the main house (you are required to exit the main house to access the guest cottage) which has a kitchen (stove, fridge, sink and coffee pot) and breakfast nook, large screed-in porch with ample seating, sofa couch which pullsout to a comfortable queen bed facing the flatscreen TV. The second bathroom on the property is located in the guest cottage and has a walk-in stall shower. 

The guest cottage is included in the rental rate from mid-June to mid-September. Guests may include the guest cottage off-season for an additional $200 per week but please note, the only sourch of heat is space heaters in the guest cottage. 

LINENS & TOWELS: The rental of this property includes all bed linens and towels.  Beds will be made up upon arrival and there will be one bath towel and wash cloth per listed occupancy, two hand towels per bathroom, one bath mat per full bathroom, and two kitchen towels in the kitchen.  Additional bath towels can be rented.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: No, the owner of this property does not require a security deposit, however, guests are still financially responsible for non-accidental damages at the property.

Occupancy may not exceed what is posted for each home. Maximum occupancy could include infants and children.

Amenities offered through On the Water in Maine Inc. are not available at all the properties we offer for rent. Boat Rentals through Maine Watercraft Rentals Inc. are offered Sunday morning to Friday after 4pm and include free delivery to the property.
