On the Water in Maine was a great rental company to work with. They were always helpful and friendly on the phone prior to our vacation as we made our arrangements. During our stay we had one minor request that was not urgent at all, yet they immediately came out to take care of the issue. We would highly recommend On the Water in Maine.

We absolutely loved our stay at Marshall Point Cottage. The cottage was exactly what we were expecting. The location was perfect and we loved the rustic, simple cottage style. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The porch was our favorite part and we loved enjoying our morning coffee overlooking the harbor. It was nice to be able to walk to the village for breakfast or ice cream and we also enjoyed our walks to the lighthouse.

Very professional and lots of good communication. We seriously intend to use your company again for next year's vacation.

We had a fantastic time!!! We loved the quaint cabin and so enjoyed all the little things provided. We have zero complaints. We had a blast at the beach and loved the fire pit.

We have been renting through On the Water in Maine for 6+ years and the experience renting this cottage online is so easy and the cottage is always ready when we arrive.

Although we missed the porcelain topped kitchen island we really appreciated the extra pantry storage space in the new island this year. However, our absolute favorite feature is the wrap around porch overlooking the Penobscot Bay enjoying the sunrises and sunsets and every part of the day in between!

On the Water in Maine was a pleasure to deal with. They gave us all of the info we needed...no surprises. They are attentive to detail and their emails included several helpful links to other area amenities. This was our first time using the agency to book a rental and we look forward to future bookings with them.

Plenty of room for two couples. Very homey,comfortable and clean. Well stocked kitchen. Great deck for grilling and hanging out. Nice screened porch area for relaxing. Beautiful landscaped gardens. The place was private and quiet. Ample parking for three vehicles. The Wi-Fi came in handy. The owners provided a write-up on the history of the cottage, which we appreciated because it is so unique and charming.

Justin was great his knowledge of the property was really helpful with our boat rental, and found the property book really helpful also.

The views from inside and on deck was incredible, the sounds from pond was great. We were able to take kids tubing without worrying about other boaters. Even the neighbors were very friendly it's like stepping back in time.

On the Water in Maine was efficient, and easy to work with. They had everything covered to make for a smooth rental experience.

We adored the serenity and tranquility of Grey Cottage. I have not felt so peaceful on any vacation. The lake view was precious, the birds and loon calls, made for a perfect environment. The cozy interior was bright and updated, with nice wooden floors. I wished we had booked for another week.

Can't say enough good things about working with On the Water in Maine. Website is user-friendly and easy to navigate. The email communication is spot-on, timely but not too overbearing, friendly and details galore. Special shout-out to Justin for his patience when we ran into a boat issue! Would use this site again in a heartbeat if seeking a rental in Maine!

Maitri House is secluded on a quiet cove with little-to-no traffic. The website gives a very good representation of the property. Plenty of parking space. We've rented vacation homes many times in various parts of the country, and this one stood out for several reasons: (a) there were fresh flowers on the dining table when we arrived, (b) there were lovely flowering plants on the deck to enjoy, (c) the landscaping was well-tended and neat but also not too fancy in case there are kids, (d) the towels were top-notch, and the owner provided extra beach towels, (e) the attic fan worked beautifully to help keep the inside temp comfortable and cool, (f) plenty of space to spread out and lounge around, (g) the kitchen is extremely well-stocked, and prior guests generously left behind spices, plastic wrap, etc., (h) the grill was terrific, and although the tank was empty, there was a spare in the garage ... which we refilled for the next guest! (i) the dock was roomy and the fire pit included sticks for marshmallows, (j) the light switches, of which there are MANY, were all nicely labeled, (k) the entire home and property were spotless upon arrival, and the loons at night were a bonus! Although we only had 4 people at the house, it can EASILY hold 10 without being on top of each other.

On the Water was amazing to work with...helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, responsive. A fabulous experience.

Amazing week on the coast! Breathtaking view of Penobscot Bay, perfect deck to enjoy sunise and sundown, comfortable and well-equipped home. We'll be back next year!

This is our 4th year renting from On The Water in Maine and the experience just keeps getting better! Thank you for such prompt attention and all the detailed instructions, etc.

Loved the house! Such a large open area between living room/kitchen/dining with the sunroom as a fantastic bonus. The balcony off the master bedroom was a lovely place to read and the favorite for the kids was the absolutely enormous bedroom/playroom upstairs. An added bonus was the dock/beach area - lots of times spent searching for hermit crabs, sea glass and skipping rocks.

Our experience was very positive, check-in and check-out were very easy. When I had problems with the TV due to my mistake, the person working with me was very cordial and patient in helping me figure out how to get it to work again.

The house was very clean and nicely decorated, and is on an ideal location in the woods only yards from the most beautiful lake that you could imagine. We had a fantastic breeze coming through the many windows, and view from the living room/deck onto the lake was one of our favorite things. There was nothing like looking out on the lake in the morning while drinking a cup of coffee and hearing the wildlife. We were very fortunate that the weather was beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our all too short week in the Maine mid-coast area and hope to be able to come back again next year.

courteous and polite when I called to discuss my misread of the property description; yet, they demonstrated little empathy. Maybe I expected too much.

Let me say first that the port clyde house was the singularly most beautiful piece of real estate we have stay at, with possibly the exception of the ocean front property we leased in Maui. The kitchen and all it provided added to the great stay. As a point of improvement, save my reading the house description better, was having shades on the bedrooms upstairs. We never slept past 6 a.m. as their was not shade to block the daylight. Additionally, it would be nice to have some additional creature comforts like extra pillows and blankets. Traveling by plane is not conducive to bring extras with us. We exclusively stay at rental properties and this is the first to not have extra pillows and bedding that demonstrate the the owners are concerned about little things to help with away from home sleeping.

Our experience working with "On the Water" was all positive. Communications were thorough and provided all the information we needed. People are always helpful and friendly if we call with questions. No complaints.

My parents stayed in the coast cottage and absolutely loved it. My father, who is elderly, was blissfully happy sitting on the deck and looking out over the ocean at islands, birds and lobster boats.

Location, location, location. Owls Head is ideally situated to enjoy both the qualities of the waterfront its mesmerizing maritime activity and exquisite natural scenery and the convenience of proximity to Rockland, with its wonderful restaurants and museums.

Justin did a great job dealing with an issue with our original reservation. He turned what could have been a real problem into the best vacation we've had. Thank you.

Crocket's Beach Cottage combined the coziness of a cottage with all the comforts of a home. We had a great stay, and really enjoyed being able to walk right onto the beach.

Very well handled from the beginning with no questions. Before we could think of things to ask here comes an email explaining it. Justin, the gentleman that did the check in was wonderful.

This home is amazing and very well decorated. The views from the house are like moving postcards. This has to be the best location ever. We could have sat on the porch the entire time.
