When renting Halcyon Point, it was good to know that while you are renting a place, you can call someone if you need anything..... Very friendly folks at On the Water in Maine....this is our second time working with you. We LOVED Halycon ... it is simply gorgeous. The view out any of the many windows is marvelous. It is Maine coast surrounding you. What more could one want? Comfortable place in every respect and the upstairs with the huge windows and deck also lovely. Haven't seen such a sky full of stars in ages even though we live in semi-rural upstate New York.

Our favorite features were watching the tides come and go, and great sunsets. Interior decor tasteful, colorful, bright, old-fashioned. Landlord/owner accessible, helpful, responsive, modest.

Everyone I spoke to at On the Water in Maine was great! You have an awesome team!! :) We had to call On the Water in Maine a few times with questions and every time we got a live person and not a recording! How great was that?!! Maine is a GREAT place to visit and I recommend staying at a vacation rental through On The Water in Maine to find the perfect spot for you!!! :)

Rhonda and Tom, thank you for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful cabin! It was awesome and both of us can't thank you enough. The cabin was wonderful! We were lucky enough to be there during a full moon so not only did we get a perfect view of the sunset, we had an awesome view of the full moon across the water as well! Checking in and out was easy. The wifi was reliable and indeed hi-speed which was a relief as our phones didn't work because of our carrier. The general store at Hope is just minutes away and they were friendly and their prices were reasonable. We even got to pick apples from the Hope Orchard!! :)

We found On the Water in Maine to be organized, detail-oriented, and they had a pleasant demeanor.

The dock was superb, room for the hubby to fish and for me to lie in the sun reading my book. Loved the canoe too. The living room was a delight, flooded with light and beautiful views. We cooked in a few times and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Your home was excellent in every way for us and we loved the way it was furnished and decorated and it's position near the harbour was perfect too.

Clean, bright and airy. Close to town,easy access to neighboring towns. And you, " On the Water in Maine", make this an easy and pleasurable experience! You had information on things to do, places to see, places to eat all ready for us. We didn't have to search for things. Everything is spelled very CLEARLY on what to do when arriving and departing the property. Ten thumbs up to On the Water in Maine!

On the Water in Maine staff were very polite. We had one plumbing problem that was attended to quickly. The house had a well equipped kitchen, Peaceful environment. Comfortable house. Overall, as advertised.

Halcyon Point provides some of the best views we have ever enjoyed since first visiting Maine many years ago. It is the perfect combination of privacy, proximity to nature, and a comfortable home that makes you feel like you really belong on Rackliff Island. Thank you for offering your property for rental. We so appreciate all your effort to keep the house and property wonderful. As owners of an historic house (c. 1790), we know all too well the pains and blood/sweat/tears it takes to keep things going. This booking was fairly easy. But at the same time I was working on this booking, I was also looking for a house for a larger group, and someone at your company was very helpful in graciously answering questions I had that were not covered by property descriptions on the website...even though I ended up renting through another agency in a different area. (Sorry, I can't remember her name. I think I may have talked to two different people at different times)Even though I didn't find the perfect property from your rentals for the larger group, it did prompt me to check with your company first when I was looking for the second rental.

To the owners of Nemo Nisi Mors, Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful property with complete strangers! Owners like you make it possible for those of us who do not own property in Maine to at least act like we do ... for one week. We very much appreciate it. Your house in Owls Head is lovely, and I especially enjoyed the fantastic sunrises every morning--while I lay in bed! All I had to do was turn my head to enjoy that great beauty. No getting up and getting dressed to sit outside to catch the sunrise. Also, you can be assured that On the Water in Maine is cleaning and maintaining your house well - they are doing a great job. As I wrote in my questionnaire after leaving the house, this is one of the few homes I've rented where I felt perfectly comfortable putting my clothes in the drawers. Everything was very clean. This property's big draw is the waterfront setting. The views are constantly changing, even more frequently than the tides. We watched the waterfowl, boats, ships, and even some unusual human activity on the water! (It appeared to be the Coast Guard setting some sort of marker or communications pole ... but we weren't at all sure of that.) The new kitchen is beautiful, too. And -- in my book, a most important feature-- the house was SO CLEAN. In thirteen years of renting frequently on the Maine coast, this is one of the few places that I felt comfortable actually putting my clothes in the dresser drawers provided. At some rental properties, I just lived out of my suitcase rather than use dirty or dusty drawers with strange smells. I also appreciated your list of property items that owners promise to supply (on your FAQ page). It may seem like a small thing, but knowing a hair dryer and iron would be available at the cottage did simply my packing. Thanks also for the note that one thing might not be available: face cloths. It alerted us to bring our own. You have a wonderful spot; thank you again for sharing it.

Beautiful cottage. Wish I could pick it up and bring it to our place in the Fingers Lakes (NY). Just love the interior and exterior of your home. My wife and the other wives kept commenting on how beautiful the place was decorated. The view from the porch will be in our minds for a life time. Enjoyed seeing the lobster fisherman, sailing boats and the small cruise ships going through the Boothbay Harbor. The Jones Cottage is the cutest place. Definitely has the feel of what you would think of as a cottage. Very comfortable for 6 people. Great shower!
