The house and furnishings are charming. Would have loved to have used the cook stove. The new addition was fabulous. We spent most of our time in there. A fire pit out doors would be nice, but we understand the fire hazard. We had a wonderful week. The only negative [for us] was one bathroom and 8 of us AND that you have to go thru the bedrooms to get to the bathroom.

Just Terrific - It was nicer then we would have imagined- we do live an equally nice home, a bit larger maybe but THE PROPERTY WAS MAGNIFICENT- THE TREES, STREAM. THE WATER FALL AND THE SEA - THE VIEWS ARE BREATH TAKING EVERYDAY!!!

This was our second time renting a property from On the Water in Maine and we have been very pleased with the properties, location and knowledgeable staff and the convenience of the internet in signing of documents. It felt like home and was exactly as advertised. I love to cook and entertain and found all things easy to find and set up was very comfortable and made friends with some local families on my early morning walks with our dog Linus. My Husband enjoyed fishing for hours on end and the lake was perfect for the beautiful weather to keep refreshed. We wish we didn't have to leave early but we did come home feeling rested and with a lot of beautiful memories.

From start to finish, the team at On the Water in Maine was terrific. We were informed of important information regarding both the process and product of our stay. Everyone we communicated with was both friendly and professional. Thank you for a great experience! Favorite features of the property? It's difficult to pick just three, but the serenity of Pitcher Pond, the layout of the cabins and property, and the proximity of the property to a truly special part of Maine (Lincolnville, Belfast and Camden) come to mind as some of our favorites! Our vacation at Pitcher Pond was both relaxing and eventful. We read several books while lounging on the dock and in the yard overlooking the lake. We swam (daily swims across the lake, and a couple of long swims to the island) as well as participating in several diving and jumping competitions from the dock and swim platform. We kayaked daily, often treated to visits by the loons and the bald eagle family nesting in a tree next door. We went for runs (sometimes originating from the cabin, other times driving to Camden and running along the coast), bicycle rides (one of our sons is an avid mountain biker, so a visit to the Camden Snow Bowl was a must) and hikes (Mt. Battie southern trail is a favorite). We browsed the shops and galleries in Camden, Lincolnville and Belfast. We took in a movie at the quaint Colonial Theater in Belfast. And we ate dinner out every night, often choosing the relaxed atmosphere (and possibly Maine's best lobster roll) at McLaughlin's Lobster Shack in Lincolnville.

Thank you again for the opportunity to stay at your wonderful location on Pitcher Pond. I believe this was our 6th year to do so. I proposed to my wife in the cabin by the water five years ago. And we were married three years ago at the Vesper Hills Children's Chapel in Rockport. We love everything about the cabins and the setting on Pitcher Pond. Your generosity to allow others to experience this special place is admirable and, as a result, has afforded us a collective of family memories which we'll cherish always. This was our 6th year staying at this location for our annual family vacation (prior to this we stayed at a cabin on Coleman Pond). My wife and I became engaged in the cabin by the lake (boathouse) and were married two years later at the Vesper Hills Children's Chapel while vacationing at the cabin. Needless to say, it has tremendous sentimental value for us. We would like to continue to visit Pitcher Pond annually. Karen & Michael Dunavin

Anyone we have talked to has ALWAYS been very professional, accomodating, and helpful. I am returning to Nemo Nisi Mors in September with a friend (we rented last September). Have had the pleasure of recommending "On The Water In Maine" to several families, directing them to your website. Our favorite feature of the Duck Cove property is the wrap-around porch with the overhang making it an ideal place in both sun and rain. The dining table on the porch makes dining so much more enjoyable. It is our second time renting Duck Cove Cottage -- we wouldn't change a thing!

Your employee Emily was a great support person. Always there, always cheerful and helpful. The view onto the water was great. When the sun started to come up at 4:08 AM it acted as our wakeup call to see a beautiful sunrise.

Lovely property and thank you for sharing. We had a great week! We loved the dramatic "great room". Large windows looking over the lake and of course we spent a lot of time on the dock!

Excellent property and location thoroughly enjoyed by all the family.

HEMLOCK POINT COTTAGE - Your property is well maintained, supplied and beautifully decorated. The views are phenomenal. I know air conditioning is a "questionable" thing in Maine, but we were happy to have the window units on two days that broke 90 degrees. The view is great from all three floors. The interior is beautifully decorated. Everything worked well and the place was white glove clean. The only negative thing I would mention is that the queen bed in the upstairs bedroom is rather soft. I know some people like it this way but I do not. Also, the cell service was poor and the internet service was unpredictable (e.g. the weather forecast sites worked well but others would not load).
