I appreciated the structure of the rental, with regards to information and clearly outlining the requirements and policy of staying at the property. The "check in" and "check out" process helped in assuring nothing was missed. During our check in, I spoke with an agent who helped with suggesting good places to eat and some activities in the area, which was a great help.

The property was just what we were looking for on our first trip to Maine. We were somewhat secluded yet close to several very nice towns on the coast. The view, of the lake, from the house was great and offered easy access for launching our kayaks. We caught a variety of fish; pickerel, large and small mouth bass, and brook trout from Hobbs Pond and considering my fiance' only caught sunfish in the past made it a great experience for her.

On the Water in Maine was great to work with in planning our vacation. They were efficient, pleasant, and proactive - excellent service.

What I loved most about the Bar Island Cottage was the privacy. Waterfront properties in New Hampshire (my home state) are close in proximity, making privacy a challenge. We felt like we had the world to ourselves at this house.

When I needed assistance with something at the property, Justin was very quick to respond and promptly addressed the issue. He was very professional and a pleasure to work with. When I arrived at the property, the internet was not working and I could not locate the DVD player. Justin tried to help me troubleshoot the problem over the phone however, we did not have much success. Justin then came out to the property promtly and installed the DVD player and reset the internet router. Yay! :)

Nemo Nisi Mors has the best view in Owls Head. To be able to look at Owls Head Bay from the living room everyday was nothing short of amazing. I was able to see the sun glistening on the blue water and hear the waves crash against the shore as the tides rolled in. And I was greeted every morning with the sound of birds singing. At night, the sky was magnificent as there were a million stars twinkling overhead. I couldnt have asked for anything more! It was pure serenity.

Beautiful property. We had a wonderful time, even though it rained most of the week, we had a lovely time. We were especially thankful for all the games, which we made use of nightly!! We will definitely be returning!

On the Water in Maine did an excellent job for us. When I made the reservation online, I got a call within 5 minutes to help with the arrangements. We got regular "count-down" email notices, with all the information we needed, including very specific driving directions, and all the contact information. Bruce Hall, the local manager, was very friendly and helpful.

This is a perfect cottage, in a perfect location. As stunning as the pictures are, they don't do it justice. Our first evening we just stood on the back porch, gazed out over the bay, and took in the powerful silence. The twice daily 13 foot tides are impressive, and we started telling time by them instead of the clock ("We'll go walking at half past high tide"). On clear nights, the star fields are dense and sparkling. The cottage was spotless and well-equipped. Dorr Lobster (just down the road) has excellent lobsters. One point: If you have Verizon cell phone service, you're out of range here. There is an Internet connection however. We picked up cell service again in Ellsworth. We'd love to return. Next time, we'll either bring or rent kayaks.

It was very helpful that the outside lights were on when we arrived Saturday evening. Thank you, Justin, for coming to Halcyon to deal with minor repairs. You and the rest of your staff at On the Water in Maine are always very pleasant to work with.

Halcyon Point Cottage is a blissful site. We very much enjoyed the home and the setting. Neighbors, human and animal, were engaging. Thank you for sharing.

Had some difficulty getting in to the place when I arrived as the code I was emailed didn't work. I called On The Water and Justin came out within a few minutes, let us in and changed the code. Turns out there was a mix up and he was professional, apologetic and helpful.

Loved the incredible water views from the living room, downstairs bedroom and upstairs bedroom and living area. Although it was a bit cold outside, we also enjoyed the deck when we could.

The view, the view, the view! In addition to the gorgeous view, we enjoyed the charming dcor of the cottage an found it to be very well appointed, clean and comfortable.

Everyone at On the Water was extremely helpful and pleasant. They anticipated our every need and provided for it. We had to have a piece of medical equipment mailed to us and they even delivered it to us. I could not have been happier with everyone and everything! P.S. Several of them even wished us a happy anniversary! This was so nice and personal!

We loved everything about the Harbor Light Cottage, but I really loved having coffee while overlooking the harbor! The view is incredible!

The house is situated in a cluster of trees and thus very cool in summer days. The location is very serene and quiet offering a great sense of 'getting away from it all'. Yet it's an easy ride to town for lobster and other goodies. Nice house design and layout, and the screened-in porch was perfect for afternoon tea. The view from the deck is unobstructed and expansive. Great place for a vacation!

All of our interations with On the Water in Maine were very positive. From the reservation, to check in, to departure was very organized and thorough.

Our family, which includes two small children, have stayed at Seagate Cottage twice now with one of them being an extended stay. The house is in a beautiful secluded location along the peaceful Kennebeck River. We enjoyed both stays for a quite a few reasons. Just a few are the thick woods, tidal waters, rocks to explore, occasional large boat passing by, swimming and beautiful sunsets. Once while we were there we even got to see a Navel Ship launch from Bath Iron Works (amazing sight). The screened in detached porch and the front deck were our favorite spots. Also, the location is close to everything with our favorites being Five Islands, Reid State Park and Popham Beach.

The staff at On the Water in Maine is very outgoing and helpful. We loved the house's design, wood floors, big windows, tasteful and very comfortable. Having cocktails out on the deck, watching the sunlight play off the Kennebec River was fantastic. Great location, quiet yet only 10 minute drive to Bath.

The peaceful setting and outstanding views compliment this charming house for a true sense of Maine living. The floor plan is open yet very cozy and we have found that it's a perfect spot for making family memories! I would highly recommend this beautiful house and all it has to offer. We will definitely be repeaters!

We didn't have a whole lot of interaction with On the Water in Maine - we really didn't need anything from them during our stay. However, they did deliver everything they promised and we will definitely use them again in the future.

Winter's Way was an excellent ski condo! We loved all the furnishings and decor, the kitchen equipment and housewares - all of it! The condo was so well prepared for our vacation. In the past when we have stayed at Sugarloaf condos, they are often beaten up and resemble a well used rental. Winter's Way was lovingly cared for and we felt right at home. It was nice looking out the large windows to the Snubber Chairlift moving by. We loved that we could waive to our kids from the condo when they were on the lift. What a surprise to find out that no only was the condo ski in and ski out, but that the entire cross country ski and snowshoe trail access was just a few hundred feet behind the condo as well. We can't imagine staying at any other condo on the mountain in the future.

The internet connection was marginal. Bandwidth was ok in the morning but as the day progressed, bandwidth diminished to the point where is was not usable. It would seem that you are sharing bandwidth with others. I'm not sure what technology you are using. Lots of room for two families. Close to the Snubber chair.

All at On the Water in Maine were very helpful - You have a very nice place and we enjoyed our stay there very much. Beautiful area and close enough to the coast to enjoy some of the best seafood anywhere. Clean well kept cabin. Will stay there again. Thanks for making our stay so pleasant.

I stayed at the cottage in September of 2011 - so these are older comments - but here is what is still fresh in my memory... The cottage is bright and airy with a beautiful view of the cove. The living/kitchen/ dining area is open, yet cozy, with all of the amenities needed to cook a good meal and host friends. The bedrooms are comfortable. The loft is a great place to escape to read a book or take a nap. One of the best features of the house is the deck which overlooks Turkey Cove. It is a fine place to sit and watch the sunset or the fog roll in off of the water. I enjoyed the time spent there.
