Very much enjoyed our stay at Owl's Head.

House was lovely, beautiful view and easy access to many places of interest. Love the state of Maine, have been going there for many years but this was the first time in the mid coast area and we truly enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery.

On the Water in Maine is great to work with--instructions are clear, staff always responds in a timely manner, and the properties are perfect.

Loved everything about Captain's Catch. The location was great, within easy walking distance of everything. Gourmet kitchen. The most well equipped we've experienced. Beds were very comfortable and it had everything we needed for great vacation. Sat out on the deck several nights and mornings. Very relaxing home base.

I have enjoyed working with On the Water in Maine and used them/you 3 different years. One year I was a week or two late in getting my request in and Weeks End was totally booked. I tried again this year as soon as I got notified that bookings could be requested but wasn't able to get the 3 weeks I requested. I looked for similar rentals and found Camden Casa which worked out so well as our daughter and family could stay there while my husband and I stayed at Weeks End. Then I transferred to Camden Casa for another week and loved it as well. We will most likely try to rent it again next year as it is better suited for our family and grandchildren as it has another bedroom. The 3rd bed room at Weeks End doesn't work as a bedroom due to early morning light. Ben was very helpful in fixing a few problems at Weeks End, then the basement door latch at Camden Casa.

The location is our favorite aspect; the privacy, the wooded forests, moss covered rocks and of course the gorgeous views and the ability to walk down to the shore. The house is roomy and nicely furnished.

Owl's Nest is the perfect property for a secluded and quiet vacation. The property is beautiful with an expansive lawn, fantastic water views and a generous back porch to soak it all in. We opted to rent a boat from On the Water in Maine along with our house so we took full advantage of the private dock and water access. The house itself is lovingly maintained with plenty of creature comforts. The layout is perfect for family or friends gathering because the rooms are spaciously laid out, affording privacy when needed. The communal spaces offer plenty of room for all. Although secluded, Owl's Nest is a quick ride into Rockland and a short walk to the charming Owl's Head General Store. We rarely left the property as we couldn't imagine wanting to be anywhere else.

Everything worked incredibly well -- no hassles, no hiccups.

We love the Port Clyde House! We just spent our third summer on the property and plan on returning next year.

Thanks to all the staff of On the Water in Maine for facilitating the entire rental process from beginning to end. Great communication in all aspects. You are a very pleasant group with which to work. You made everything so easy and provided us all the information we needed to fully enjoy the cottage and the surrounding area and activities. Ben's recommendations found in the guest binder helped create a couple of our fondest memories.

Piper Cove provided us a home away from home for the perfect vacation. Comfortable, clean, quiet and cozy, with all the amenities we needed, in a great location on the lake, where we enjoyed swimming, fishing, and kayaking. We particularly enjoyed the outside patio which provided a picturesque setting for many meals. Piper Cove is conveniently located so that all destinations we found of interest were an easy drive.

All of our experiences with On the Water in Maine were positive. The website was easy to use and the staff were always helpful and friendly.

We absolutely loved Loon Call Cottage! We loved the house and the incredible view of the lake from the living room. We spent many hours on the deck, the dock, and the raft. Every day, we went out on the two kayaks and the canoe. The boys (ages 11 and 14) loved learning how to play pool and the washer/dryer made it easy to do laundry. A great added bonus was the neighbor and their dogs. Lorraine and Jim were incredibly welcoming and our boys absolutely loved playing with their dogs, especially Riley. It truly felt like our home for the 7 days that we were there.

The rental agency was great. We called to check in first day and say there was no table. They dropped one off for our use the second day. Didn't help us for the first night when we had 6 people for dinner. But my husband and I enjoyed having one for the rest of the week.

The cottage itself was nice. The back facing water area and yard were wonderful. I do think the listing should mention that the property is literally on the road. I was a bit disappointed to find that out when i arrived. Its quite a busy street and quite loud. It's definitely not the kind of cottage i would just hang out day and night due to the noise. A few things didn 't seem rental ready as this is the first year renting this place. There was no outside table to eat at. The first night i had my family come for dinner and we had to eat on the lawn on our laps. All good by us but definitely a necessity. There were also no window coverings. This is ok in living area but definitely needed in bedroom and bathroom. We had to put up bedding and wood against window to keep light and noise out for privacy. Lastly, the shower needs to be updated. The shower nozzle was too low for ANY adult, nor did it move in order to accomodate. Cottage was clean when we got there. Shower definitely could have been cleaner. Lighting isn't great either. NOT a huge deal but being a new rental, thought you may want to know. Could use a light near the bed and one in kitchen. We loved the area overall and were very pleased.

On the Water was very easy to deal with and had no issues at all. Everything was as advertised and even then some. Seemed like we had very personal service at what I'm sure is a very busy season.

The Driftwood Cottage was so cute and cozy and could not be at a better location. We had a great time watching loons and ducks from our own beach and loved the all of the parks nearby. Lots of biking, hiking, exploring and even swimming and clam digging at low tide. Wish we were still in Maine! Blueberries were probably my son's favorite! Seeing a Moose on our way to Acadia was awesome and the park's hiking trails were incredible. Wish we could have seen more but our cottage was in such a great location with so much to see and so relaxing to just hang out and eat lobsters! Another favorite! Yum!

Everyone was informative, responsive, patient and welcoming. Special shout out to Ben who helped us several times.

Maitri House was perfect for our family vacation! The house was exquisitely appointed, yet comfortable for family members who ranged from age 69 to 19 mos. The 3.5 bathrooms and bedroom layout gave everyone privacy. The open floor plan was great with little ones afoot. The porch was ample, the dock and umbrella kept us in the water most of the day, and the screened-in room with the ping pong table was a special treat. Having access to the lake on the property was heaven; having the lake water warm enough to go in at any hour of the day or night was a dream come true. We couldn't have asked for, or dreamed of, a better property for us.

Nothing but good things to say, everyone one was very helpful right up to the last day

It was nice and quiet located at the end of the camp road. Some the furniture needs some upgrading. The beds were the most uncomfortable ones we have ever slept on. Some of us slept on the floor. Toilets need to be changed out, too small and short, plus still 3.5 gallon flush

Clean and comfortable cottage in a fantastic location. This is our second year at grey cottage and we loved it again. The dock is the best feature of the property! Also the grill (Webber) was fabulous and one of the best things to look forward to in coming back. With past rentals I always brought my own small webber as most rentals have poor or non functioning grills. This made life much better while on vacation. We will be back again next year and want to rent grey cottage again.

I signed the lease in December and we've been regularly in touch since then. Everyone at "On the Water" was always responsive, helpful, warm and friendly and always with a "taste of Maine." A first class operation.

"Washed Ashore" exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Why did I bring 2 beach chairs from New York when the house had 6? The house was supplied with everything one needs for a week in Maine including access to my netflix account! We loved the outdoor shower, the firepit, the hammock, the screened in porch, the dining table on the porch, the view from the master bedroom, the new appliances, and more.

Extremely quite and picturesque. Beautiful views of the St. George River. However, not much of a kitchen and the bathroom layout was strange.

It is a lovely house, clean and well kept. Loved the view! We have stayed in 5 or 6 houses on the Maine coast. Lincoln's Lookout was the best yet! It was convenient to shopping and activities. The bed was comfortable and clean. I had coffee each morning on the deck and wine or beer each evening. We saw many sea birds, sail boats, and lobster men working right in front of the house. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We had a fun and relaxing vacation.

On the Water in Maine was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay extremely comfortable and easy! Prior to our stay I had asked for some recommendations for horse back riding options. Within hours I received an email back with detailed descriptions of two places that would be within an hour of our property. Upon arrival, I called to check in and was greeted by an extremely nice gentleman that just seemed happy to be doing his job! We did not have any issues while staying at the cottage but I know that if we had, the agency would have done everything they could to fix the problem. I can't wait to rent from On the Water in Maine again!

Seagate cottage was everything we had hoped for in our vacation rental and then some! By far our favorite feature of the property was the screened in room where we spent many evenings watching the sun set and enjoying a beverage! You simply can not beat the location! The property provides privacy and quiet while only being a short ride to town. We also loved the ability to throw our kayak in the water right from our property. Seagate truly made our vacation one for the memory book!

The agency were very helpful, not least the advance mailings with all required information.

The Light Keeper cottage was quite delightful. It was beautifully presented and afforded every comfort we could reasonably have desired.
