I received very timely responses from the staff at On the Water in Maine. They were easy to work with.

The Little River Guest Cottage was quite charming, and the view of the pond off the back deck was sublime! While the cottage was very cute and had amazing grounds, the noise from the street was atrocious. Since there is no air-conditioning for this property, we needed to sleep with the windows open and the constant noise from Route 1 made sleep very difficult. Had I known where the cottage was located, I would not have booked it.

On the Water in Maine was very easy to work with,making booking the rental, directions to get there,and everything we needed to know before and during our stay very accessible to us.

The veiws were just as advertised-beautiful! The cottage was comfortable and very home-like with many pictures and art pieces that remind of the Maine seacoast.

Your agency was fantastic. Everyone we spoke to was very kind and friendly. Any question we had was answered. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We will absolutely be using you again.

The home and property were beautiful. The house was very well maintained and taken care of. The yard was wonderful and the views were incredible. Being able to sit at the windows and watch the bald eagles fly past the house was a highlight.

Wonderful location on Norton Pond, particularly like the sitting out deck, the dock side to swim off and inside, the kitchen dinner overlooking the Pond.

When checking in I asked about some local seafood markets and was given five great options and some tips on fresh farmers markets. Great knowledge of the area by your staff. You guys are so easy to work with and make the overall experience so positive--thanks! Love not having to go to the office to check in!!! Had another great year on Hobbs Pond, thank you on the water in Maine for making it an excellent experience again. The whole family loved being able to walk out and get right on the water. A private dock to tie up the boats and have the kids fish off of was wonderful. The kids were able to catch some trophy size bass and loved swimming when the fish weren't biting. Beautiful view of the lake and mountains from the back porch. The upgraded tv and sofa bed was such a plus. Love the super clean and spacious basement where the laundry was located. The master bath is a true plus, made life so much easier with two kids and two adults, there was never a line for the bathroom.

The 'On The Water' team couldn't have been better. The whole experience professional and easy!

One of our better recent vacations. Lakewood had been recently upgraded and was beautifully decorated ( we will 'steal' some ideas' for home). Everything we needed was provided. The lake is really excellent. Strongly recommend a small boat. And get your fishing license and try your luck! We will definitely consider Lakewood again next year.

The location is in a less populated section of Megunitook lake, making it pleasant to wake up to the sounds of loons and for early morning swims.

Our experience with your rental company was excellent from the first phone call to inquire about cottages. It was a pleasure working with all of you and we will definitely rent from you again.

I speak for our entire family when I say we were saddened to leave our little piece of heaven in Carmel cottage this past Friday. I loved having my morning coffee on the front porch, taking in the magnificent view of the Penobscot Bay. We have stayed in several cottages now within Bayside village and Carmel cottage was hands down my favorite! I loved the location on Auditorium park.

On the Water in Maine is a great agency. You know the rental will be nice, well equipped and clean when you deal with On the Water in Maine! If anything is missing, they go out of their way to help. We will rent through this agency again and again.

We were very pleased with the Periwinkle Cottage. It was clean and had a wonderful, open floor plan. We loved sitting on the new deck, looking at the ocean. The table and chairs were a comfortable place to dine. We did not spend time at the beachfront in front of the cottage - it was hard to walk here and not easy to get in the water. But we loved the small, Lincolnville Beach, just to the south - so spent a few days there. The walk along Shore Road is beautiful. The bedrooms are very comfortable and it was nice having two bathrooms.

The Seaside Cottage was very pleasant and comfortable. The house was bigger than I expected, and the layout was great for staying organized. Very clean. Great views.

The property was well maintained and accommodated our family visit. The additional building, we called the "up house" (the barn), was perfect for providing extra space and sleeping for all involved. The Southport location was also perfect.

We stayed next this house last year. Vacationland was larger and fit our family needs a little better. bedding and cleanliness fine. Easy lake access for swimming and kayaking. Easy access to Camden, Rockport, Rockland and up and down the coast as well as several access points to interior lakes.

The whole process with On the Water in Maine from start to finish could not have been easier, lots of communication along the way, keeping us informed of everything from driving directions, check in, and property details.

Wonderful week at coast cottage, the views are amazing, and the property well cared for, it is impossible not to relax and de-stress here, sitting on the deck, or napping in the hammock, the only sounds you will here are the birds and the water lapping at the shore, and if you want to be more active, great hiking, kayaking, shopping and restaurants are all a short car ride away, a really enjoyable stay.

Everything is done very professionally at On The Water in Maine. They are helpful and responsive to any issues.

You can never spend enough time in Camden! There is so much to do - hiking,biking,sailing, shopping!

You guys were great about communicating and providing clear directions.

The view is fabulous and the place has all the right things to enjoy the beach, like chairs, toys etc.

Lovely views of Rockport Harbor

I like that we can go through the whole rental process without having to wait for contracts by mail and call back and forth on the phone. Overall it is a very easy process for making reservations.

We had a great time as always :-) The Sun room addition has definitely been an improvement. Now that there were screens we were able to keep the windows open even at night and let the breeze come through. The path that is usually mowed going down to the water and around the property was not mowed out this year (that was a little of a disappointment) but we still walked down to the water anyway.

The agency was very efficient and all went smoothly . When we expressed concern about some disturbance from the building work which started on the Monday of our stay after a peaceful weekend, the agency did their best to investigate (the building work had apparently unexpectedly over-run due to the late spring). We were offered an alternative very nice property for the last couple of days of our stay but did not take up the offer due to the little time left and the fact that the noise from the building work had reduced to a more tolerable level as the week went on.

The house exceeded our expectations with wonderful views including bald eagles and ospreys fishing. This was the best equipped house we've ever stayed in with an amazing range of books and board games, as well as everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. A very comfortable house in a beautiful setting.

It was a great pleasure to rent from On the Water in Maine, Inc. We hope to vacation in Maine again in a couple of years, and will definitely look for properties through them first.

Such a lovely place. Far enough out of town to ensure peace and privacy, yet just a short drive to Owl's Head and Rockland. Great views of Penobscot Bay as well. And the house had everything you'd need, such as a well-stocked kitchen. A great place to enjoy a family reunion. (I was tempted to give this property a so-so review in order to keep this gem my own secret, but instead I'll be honest and say it was terrific.)

Easy access and responsive. Was a definite plus -- and security level in booking -- that this was handled by agency and not just VRBO owner.

As advertised. Quiet, comfortable spot ... very convenient to Camden.
