The Nokomis beach house has everything you would want in a beach rental.Very high quality furnishings for a rental. My wife said if she would buy a house in Maine this would be the one.

We have been renting with On the Water in Maine for a few years now and every year the procedure is so seamless. We did have an issue this year but a call to them resolved it quickly. Everyone we have spoken with in the office has been so kind and accommodating. They are all so friendly and eager to assist. They have thought of every detail so our vacation rental experience will be terrific. It is a real joy to go through On the Water in Maine. We know when we unlock the door on that first day the house will be clean and welcoming. They do a fantastic job and we appreciate it so much!

Great house! Kitchen very well equipped except we never did find the waste basket. We made do without any issue. The porch is incredible. Every morning we sat with our coffee to watch the sunrise. So peaceful. Beds are so comfortable and the living room provided us with comfy areas to catch a nap or do reading. Lots of interesting reading material provided. By far our favorite spot was that amazing porch! Since our first week out of two gave us perfect weather we spent hours on the porch and in the chairs on the lawn. Our second week turned out foggy but we found plenty to do in the area.

The folks at ON the Water in Maine are always available , they provide a professional and personal service not typically found with most companies. Love that it is family run and they go out of their way to make sure you are happy and comfortable. We look forward to our stay next year !!

Fabulous yard with fantastic views. Very simple home. Can walk into town and short drives to mid coastal towns.

We find working with this agency to be easy and unobtrusive. The instructions that one receives before arriving are complete and fully understandable. This year we had issues that needed attention, the heat, and the response was quick with good results. I have to say that working with On the Water in Maine has been the easiest and most pleasant experience that I have had after many years to dealing with rental property companies around the country.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this property - Blue Heron Cottage. We love the property, which has a wonderful view of the waterways around Spruce Head. We find the house very comfortable and accommodating. The only negative experiences that we had were the heat wasn't working (that was promptly fixed on Monday), the solar lights that provide the only outside lighting worked sporadically, and the TV only had the very basic offerings (the major networks, PBS and ION for some reason. What was an avid Red Sox fan to do? NO NESN! We only bring that up because last year the next set of basic offerings, which included NESN were available, and we were not told that this had changed.

3rd year in a row at Blueberry Hill Cottage and it gets better every year! We absolutely love the cottage and the view is amazing. The redone deck is a wonderful feature and perfect place to relax.

As always, the best and easiest to deal with.

Could not be more satisfied with On the Water in Maine. For 8 years now, we have rented through them and each contact we have had with a representative has been a pleasure including this year.

We certainly enjoyed Port of Call. It is very modern & clean inside, has a large private lot, a great deck to watch the lobster pier, large rooms, large windows, a great location only 4 miles out of Rockland. This was our 8th year of renting thru On the Water and our 6th different home.

Another great vacation at Dunbar a/k/a Grey Cottage. Couldn't ask for a more beautiful peaceful setting. Lots of wildlife to observe, eagle made a daily visit along with the seals. Only, missed the old comfy couch!

On the Water in Maine was great. I mainly worked with Kelsey, but Paige and Justin (owner) were extremely responsive when we needed something. I know it stings to pay the booking fee for going through an agency, but with this company, you really get something for your money.

Chestnut Cottage is one of the most pleasant and well equipped vacation rentals I have ever stayed in. The owner has really thought of everything. The house is furnished tastefully. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and organized. We rarely needed a kitchen appliance or gadget that wasn't provided. I really appreciated how well stocked the house was with "getting started supplies" like soap, detergents, spices and staples, and paper products. All bedrooms had ceiling fans and good storage for clothing so you didn't have to live out of a suitcase. The combination lock was nice because everyone had access to the house and we didn't have to keep up with who had the key. The location was great. It was nice to be able to walk to town, and even to Rockport to Graffam's Lobster Shack a couple of times. I have stayed in dozens of vacation rentals and this was one of the best without a doubt.

We would definitely work with On the Water in Maine again.

The agency is terrific and I heartily recommend it to anyone wanting to rent in midcoast.

We loved the house, as we did when we rented it in 2015. The location is perfect, the pond is beautiful, and the house itself is incredibly warm and comfortable. This year, however, we had a few hurdles that made our stay a bit difficult: first, the presence of yellow jacket nests all over the outside of the house. These things are bound to happen in Maine, but I am deathly allergic, and given all the renters who doubtless stay over the course of a season, I would have thought that a caretaker would have been more on the ball to keep up with them. More than once we were strafed by them, which prevented us from spending as much time on the deck as we would have liked. Second, the neighbors were incredibly noisy; one talked at the top of her lungs at 6:30 am every morning, their dog ran loose all over the rental property, we came home from Camden one day to find them having a party and a jacked-up pickup truck was parked in the driveway on the rental property. Kind of a drag, considering we go to Maine for quiet. Overall, it was a delightful stay, albeit challenging at times.

Our Song on Lermond Pond was superb! The views from the living area, kitchen, dock, etc. were very soothing. We had to put our dog of 12 years to sleep midway through the vacation and it was the serenity of the cottage that got us through this tough time. Having the kayaks was fantastic! I paddled every day even when the weather threatened. Bathrooms were outstanding. Kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen I have even been in! It's location near everything made exploring very easy.

The setting was wonderful. It was very private and peaceful.

Straightforward rental agreement, we were informed of everything we needed all through the process.

The extensive hiking trails were fun for all, watching the seals rangle the mackerel from both ends like an all you can eat buffet as the tides change, the large yard was a favorite for my two Labrador retrievers
