I found the site very helpful - staff provided necessary info and it was easy to book and pay for.

I have stayed at many cottages and Woodland Lodge is the best ever! Lovely location amongst tall shade trees on a side road with little traffic. Large back garden with badminton net, flowers and grass. large deck with umbrella table and many chairs. Inside woodwork following woodsy theme (banisters of rounded branches, some walls of weathered gray boards) all with all modern conveniences - heater if necessary, good water, full baths with showers on main and second floors. I chose this cottage because it had bedroom and bath on ground floor, accessible to my stiff knees! And everything else was well equipt - plenty of cooking utensils, large refridgerator, DISH WASHER! Towels and linen, shelf spaces in bath, plenty of screened windows and screened doors to the deck and nice sunroom with comfortable furniture. Five stars! *****

We loved the screen porch for our meals and just relaxing in the evening. We wanted a true Maine cottage and Compass Rose didnt disappoint. The location was very peaceful during the week, but the neighbors above were noisy on the weekends late at night.

Wonderful views of the water. Great to sit on nice deck and watch the circles of Pogies (we think) and Sturgeon jumping out of the water. Very peaceful quiet setting. Close to Boothbay and shopping.

The ability for everyone to have their own bedroom; having our own dock to swim, fish, use the kayaks and paddle boards we brought; the screened porch that enabled us to sit outside in the evenings, the outside showers that we all enjoyed; the wonderfully stocked kitchen with a fabulous stove; the air conditioning that we certainly had a need for a few days and nights. All of these things truly made our stay just perfect. There is only one thing that needs attention: some of the blinds on the windows were broken or not there.

The agency was very easy to work with. There was an issue of our lockbox not working. I do wish some attempt had been made to contact us about that.

This was a great house for our family of 8. There were plenty of bathrooms, seating, and comfortable beds for all of us. Unfortunately for us, we stayed a week that was very hot and humid. This house has no AC, but we knew that ahead of time. I would defiantly rent this house again but would try for a cooler time. there were fans available for every bedroom. We absolutely loved Belfast. The town is not overrun by tourists and has a great walking path along the water. We went to the co-op and farmers market several time.

On the Water has always been accommodating and responsive. This year our trash was not picked up on the scheduled day. I called to report it and by the time we returned to the cottage by the end of the day, some one from OTW had come by, disposed of the trash and returned the barrel to the proper place.

This is our 4th year renting the Lightkeeper and it never disappoints. We love the view from our deck and the short walk to the village of Rockport. The house is very well stocked with everything that we need. Every year at the end of the week we have our kids join us for lobster on the deck overlooking the harbor. What could be a more fitting end to a lovely and relaxing week?

We love the cottage- everything about it! The interior and the way that it is decorated, the wrap-around porch and the close proximity to the water. The cottage was well-appointed; we had everything we needed. The master bedroom mattress was so comfortable- I haven't slept that well in a long time!!

Overall, a very nice rental. Loon's Nest is an attractive,spacious house on a gorgeous lake. The lake is quiet and clean. The house is bright and cheerful. The screen porch is great--we ate there every evening. There is ample space for everyone. The furniture could be in better shape. Prospective renters should know two bedrooms don't have doors,and there is only one shower.

The agency was terrific with all of our questions - check in and check out were a breeze. Top notch company!

We loved our stay at Seagate Cottage! You can see the ocean from practically any corner of the house (except 2nd bedroom upstairs) and the screened in patio is wonderful. We spent lots of time out there enjoying nature and the views, especially when the weather was rainy! The house was in excellent condition, exactly as advertised - we were very happy with your stay.

We loved the place! Lazy Days was a great place to stay! Its definitely on a steep slope but that was ok - got my cardio in each day. The lake is beautiful and enjoyed swimming. There was plenty of room and having two full bathrooms was nice.

We have rented many times in the area, and this house easily passed the "family" test. We all enjoyed the open space and the multi floor sleeping arrangements with good bathrooms for all. The setting was special.

Once I requested the rental property I was immediately contacted by the On The Water in Maine staff. They are courteous and very helpful. Throughout the process I received updates and information so that once we arrived we were very comfortable and had no surprises.

The Light Keeper was the perfect spot for my siblings and I spend a relaxing week together. The house is perched on a hillside that gives you beautiful views of the bay and plenty of spots to sit, relax and enjoy the fresh air. The bedrooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped with a large eat in area along with a dining room and outdoor seating. The living room has furniture that invites you to relax. And to top it all off, the beautiful view of the bay!

All communications were handled with great care.

The process of renting, checking in and checking out was easy and quick. The one small issue we had during our stay with a mechanical problem in the house was addressed quickly and completely with no inconvenience to us. We wholeheartedly recommend On the Water in Maine.

We loved our stay at Belfast Cottage. It is so comfortable, well-equipped and beautifully decorated. Our favorite part was the open concept kitchen/dining/living area. We hung out there every day and really loved it.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Harmony Cottage. Loved using the porch with the great views of the bay. The house is very well stocked to make everything easy - especially liked they had everything for cooking. Access to a nice cove is just steps away.

The location is retreat like, peaceful, quiet, relaxing. Swimming was one of our favorite activities. We like going to Lincolnville to have lobster.

Very professional company that takes pride in their work, business and the properties they manage. They genuinely want their guests to have a wonderful experience.

We loved Crows Nest. The house is nicely updated and feels very clean and fresh. The view of the bay is unbeatable. We enjoyed getting out on the water in our raft and swimming off the pier. We also enjoyed climbing on rocks and hunting for sea glass during low tide.

Easy to work with, very responsive and welcoming.

We like the privacy, close proximity to the lake, and private dock. We rented stand up paddle boards and used them every day. The house had plenty of space for our family of four.
