Very courteous staff. Very helpful during the rental process. Check in and out is very efficient. A special thanks regarding your e-mail regarding traffic issues anticipated the weekend of August 5. We left early on Saturday morning and avoided some significant wiat time in traffic.

We loved the convenience to downtown Camden. We were able to walk to all services needed. The property was clean---we like the no pets no smoking feature. The property is well stocked with items needed---cooking, tv, dvd, etc...

My interactions with On the Water staff when inquiring about properties and checking in were all positive. Staff members were polite, helpful, and clearly knowledgeable about their properties and the surrounding areas in which they are located. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from them again.

Belfast Cottage was a great rental property. It has recently been updated throughout and the quality of the remodel was impressive (e.g., nice bathroom fixtures, quality kitchen appliances, thoughtful furnishings, etc.). The living room furniture was particularly comfortable, functional, and modern. The smart TV was a welcome perk to watch some Netflix before bed, and we were glad to have the A/C unit during some warmer days. Lots of windows throughout the living space allowed for great light and ventilation. The cottage is also convenient to downtown Belfast, which had lots of shopping and restaurant options. The only significant critique my wife and I had was that the mattresses were far too firm for our tastes. It may also be helpful to know that the A/C unit primarily serves to cool the living area. To cool the bedrooms, we had to rely on opening the windows and running the ceiling fans. That worked to make the rooms comfortable at night while we were there, but might be less effective if the temps were higher or if there was a lot of rain at night. Overall, we'd highly recommend this property for one or two couples, or a small family.

All information was presented very clearly, including information about payment, directions, and the information in the house appeared complete and thorough as well.

The Beachcomber is a spacious, comfortable home, with lovely beachhouse decor. We liked the position on a small bluff above the shore, with steps leading down. The master bedroom view which faces east to the water was excellent as was its deck. We loved waking up in the morning with the sun coming in through the glass doors to the deck. Main floor deck was very nice as well, with comfortable outdoor furniture and gas grill. And we also enjoyed the screened in porch which was exposed to the late afternoon sun. The view from the deck which looks out to Stovers Point is however partly obscured by a large tree in the yard.

On the Water is very professional!

We love Rose hill Cottage ... it is comfortable and we love its Maine charms! The outside deck is one of our favorites and the house is walking distance to the beach. Neighbors are friendly and kind!

This was, by far, our most relaxing Maine vacation. The view from the decks and the sound of the waves lapping the rocks just below the house, were just what the doctor ordered. We spent hours on the decks watching the tide come and go while enjoying each other's company. We all enjoyed exploring the rocks, discovering the treasures the sea left for us to find. We woke to the sound of the lobstermen checking their traps, further accentuating our Maine vacation experience. The house was clean, well-stocked, spacious, and comfortable. It was an amazing week spent in a spectacular setting, making memories with friends that will last a lifetime.

Dealing with on the water in maine has been a pleasure. They respond promptly and are always cheerful and helpful. The images and descriptions we saw on the website were incredibly accurate. We would definitely rent through the again.

We loved our stay at the Ginn Point cottage in Owls Head. The house was perfect! Amazing location, lovely new finishings and tons of light. They have everything you need for a happy beach week, including a large lobster pot, yum!

A return visit to a three-generation family week on Lake Megunticook was as magical as we remembered and more! We love the casual environment, the overall comfort of the house and the access to the lake. Six perfect days of weather enabled us to enjoy the lake, the Maine coast and loads of lobster and crab. Hope to be back soon!

On the Water in Maine is a very efficient organization. We had a problem with a fire alarm which they handled in a timely fashion. The cottage was very clean when we arrived. The instruction booklet covers all the details. Booking the cottage online was easy and efficient.

The cottages are beautiful with so many personal touches. Lovely artwork and wall hangings. The woodwork in the cottages is exceptional with all windows well places for optimum viewing and cleverly screened. The kitchen featured a brand new gas stove of high quality so cooking was easy. The kitchen was very well equipped though it could use a microwave. There was very adaquate hot water for showering and the outdoor shower is one of the nicest I have seen. The cottage bedding was for the most part comfortable but the little bunk room was difficult for some of us adults due to the bars placed there to keep children from falling out of bed. I would definitely return as this property has so much charm and such a cozy and welcoming feel. We loved having drinks on the porch every evening, listening to the loons and enjoying the view of the pond. Also enjoyed some really awesome dinners sitting around the dining table.

On the Water in Maine Inc. was a very easy company to rent through. We loved the fact that we were hearing from them periodically before our stay to keep us informed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Periwinkle was a wonderful cottage! The view of the water was where we parked ourselves every morning with a cup of coffee. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was so charming! The amenities were great! I loved having a dish washer and washer and dryer. The fact that we were able to bring our dog was the best! He had an amazing time as well! We could not have. Even more comfortable! Thank you!

This is a truly rare experience in Maine, even for those of us who have visited the coast often. The property sits alone on a point near the head of a tidal inlet, facing due west. Sunsets last a hour; breeze from the ocean is constant, and this is dark sky country - amazing! When we weren't sitting on the open porch watching the natural world go by, we were relaxing in a beautifully simple open interior with all the amenities we needed.

Well run operation

Awesome place. We stayed 2 weeks here summer of 2016 and returned for another 2 weeks this year. Our favorite features: the dock and mooring are protected from ocean swell but big enough for our 27 foot boat, perfect location from which to launch island adventures or trips to town. The views toward town from master BR, kitchen table, deck and porch are amazing, especially at sunset. It's the right blend of cottage and comfortable thanks to nicer kitchen and AC. Barn offers guest quarters and lots of parking.

Driftwood cottage has the perfect setting, close to the water and very private.

Very accommodating. Liked the check-in process with a door code instead of having to go to the rental agency to get keys. The entire process is electronic which makes everything so easy. All points of contact were professional and very friendly.

What a beautiful property! It actually is more beautiful than the pictures. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, including sharp knives. It is very nicely decorated. The views from the house overlooking the ocean are spectacular.

Since this was our second time working with your agency, everything was more familiar. All aspects of the rental process went smoothly. We only had 1 issue with the property...a squirrel (I think) made its way into the roof/ceiling and I called to report it. The issue was taken care of that day and we had no more visitors.

This was our 2nd time staying at the Crocketts Beach property. I feel like it has become our "home away from home". We love the location of the house..just a few feet from the beach. We can listen to the waves break on the shore at night and enjoy the clear starlit sky. The house has all the amenities we need on vacation..outdoor tables and chairs, a gas grill, even beach toys and games for the kids. Pretty much everything we need for everyday life is provided.
