We have rented through other agencies as well as private owners before, but On the Water in Maine has been by far the best experience. Communication was exceptional. Every person we had contact with was very professional and knowledgable. Thank you for your assistance in providing us with a wonderful place to stay while visiting Maine! We are known as Minnesota nice, but our experience with On the Water in Maine showed us Maine nice!

So sorry this took so long. was really saddened that the vacation went so fast. The house was just about perfect. the rap around deck, the living spaces, and closeness to water made our experience one to remember. the only problem that stopped this from being a perfect visit was the climb from the water. pretty steep

We are very happy with the agency - they were responsive when we had questions beforehand, but we also had absolute privacy during the weeklong stay. The check-in and check-out procedures are smooth and quick. As we left the property on check-out day, the cleaner person arrived.

The house is a gem. Privacy was excellent. Views of the bay were wonderful and relaxing. The house is spacious with huge windows overlooking the bay and lobster pound. The sky windows allow for natural light in the kitchen and bathroom and the area where the washer and dryer are. The washer and dryer are both huge and function as expected. The furniture in the house is very comfortable and suitable for a relaxing time in Maine. Kitchen is well equipped with all modern amenities - we never used the oven - only the stove top. Fridge/freezer is big enough for a big group of people and in good condition. I enjoyed my coffee using the (filter type) coffee machine. The toaster, blender and microwave were all in excellent condition. Wifi is very reliable - we needed that because our service provider does not have proper coverage in that area. We never watched TV, so we can't say anything about functionality - the TV is a huge modern flat screen. We never used the grill outside on the deck - but it looks like a very good grill. We were pleasantly surprised to see lots of board games in the house - and even a croquet set - but we did not use any of that during our stay - maybe next time. One of the reasons we chose this house is the fact that it has a king size bed and a shower en suite - we were not disappointed. The house is within comfortable reach of many attactions, but also secluded enough to provide peace and quiet.

Went really well. When we had a couple of problems, they called us back right away and attended to them.

Stay was pretty good with a few mishaps. Our favorite things about Waters Edge was the location and the Sunroom. So beautiful to have breakfast in. Also, the whole layout of the house was fantastic.

This is our third year renting with On the Water. As such, very little direct communication was necessary, and all transactions and paperwork were handled smoothly and efficiently on- line.

Lincoln lookout has wonderful views of the ocean. The view is as ever changing as the weather and is as beautiful by sunlight as it is by moonlight. The house is clean, attractive and welcoming. The deck is a superb place to unwind and watch the lobster boats at work. We loved the TV entertainment setup.

The entire process was simple and they were more than accommodating to ensure that the house met our expectations. They were always available to call if we had any issues.

The house was bright and clean. It had plenty of dishes and cookware. The beds were comfortable. The view of the lake was fabulous with just enough privacy. Our favorite feature was the stone fireplace.

Could not be any easier.

On the Water in Maine is definitely our agency of choice. The properties are top notch and the rates fair. I appreciate the level of service offered without being intrusive. Very responsive when there is a problem.

Fantastic location. Wonderful front deck. Kitchen well appointed. One thing we all noticed, the kitchen sink does not seem to be sealed. Dining room family room back deck/grill makes for a very nice gathering area. Overall, the house was very comfortable and welcoming. One of the nicest rentals we have stayed in. The beds in the old wing of the house were sub standard. Singles very firm and the queen sagged to the middle. We all agreed that we would be willing to pay a little more in rate for better beds. Only would comment that the pull out queen in the family room is right in the middle of things and not all that practical. Too bad there isn't a pull out in the living room which is a bit more sequestered. Also, as stated above, we do expect higher quality beds.

It was a pleasure working with the people from your agency. Everything was done in a most professional manner. All of our contacts with the agency were through emails, and we were provided with all the information that we needed to make this stay uneventful, which is the goal, isn't it?

The Blue Heron rental unit lived up to the glowing description in your advertising materials - that is not always the case, we have found. The house is excellent with a very welcoming open kitchen, dining, and living area with large glass windows across the front facing the water. And then there is the view from the deck, which runs on three sides of the building. The deck is a great place to spend time in the sun and enjoying looking out over the calm waters of the inlet. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Blue Heron.

We had a problem with the TV service and the people at the agency were very friendly and took care of it for us.

We truly enjoyed the ocean living experience for a week. The amount of windows allowed viewing from everywhere and the morning sun quickly warmed the cottage on the chilly mornings. The house was totally stocked with anything we could want. Everything was in working order.

The Pine Cliff cottage has a great, sweeping view of Boothbay Harbor and Mouse Island. We saw seals a few times at high tide in late September. Bring your binoculars!

On the Water in Maine is very thorough and professional in all aspects of the rental process. The support available during the rental period is also first class.

Blue Waters is a very beautiful property. It's recent renovation has been completed to the highest standard possible. Tastefully furnished and decorated in cool coastal colours, it captures and exceeds all that could be expected from a house in such a wonderful location.

The Bar Island cottage is a great location to watch the tides and to kayak in protected waters. Wonderful view from anywhere in the house. At low and mid tide, there is a narrow gravel beach (adjacent to the stone steps to right of cottage) that works to launch a kayak or retriever into the water. The Bar Island cottage is a well designed and well build cottage. It's furnishings are very functional and uncluttered, giving it a feeling of serenity that fits the location. The views of the protected bay are simply great. The kitchen is well furnished and useful. About amenities, as a rural property with satellite internet service, bandwidth has a monthly cap. If prior renters use up the 15 GB monthly allowance, internet service is super slow/ barely useful. Cell phones with hot spot capability work as alternatives. It could be a good idea to give heads up to future renters that bandwidth is likely to be limited in case they count on getting online while on vacation using the property's bandwidth.

Really enjoyed the professional and easy manner to work with OTWIM staff as well as the easy method of booking a reservation. Really really appreciate your outstanding service!

We really enjoyed this property at 1 Crescent Terrace and its' location to Crescent beach and the rest of the costal attractions we visited.

The rental agreement was extremely detailed.

The sunny deck and flower boxes were so inviting as a haven to relax every day seeing the water only feet away. My 90 year old mother took her nap out there while my great niece and nephew, 2 year old and 3 1/2 year old played in the water.
