Our stay at Piper cove was wonderful! We love the lake, this was our sixth year staying on this lake and I think this was our favorite property. Very comfortable and in a terrific location.

It was very easy to rent with On The Water in Maine and they were excellent with communication and preparing us for our trip. I was also pleased with the cleaning service, which had everything ready for us when we arrived, including fresh cut flowers and the windows open to let in the breeze.

We loved everything about the house -- especially its serene location, cozy feel, and the fact that it was so well-appointed with everything we needed, from boats to bicycles to good-quality kitchen amenities. It is clear that the owners spend time here and love the home, and that they enjoy sharing it with renters.

Our hosts, Anne and Bill have made this a hidden paradise! Plenty of room for my nieces to run around and have fun! They loved it! The open floor plan, big windows, and beautiful views are indescribable! The Master Bedroom has plenty of space and the closets are HUGE. Comfy bed and no need to bring blankets because the house has plenty.Quiet, away from the crowds but, close enough to the attractions. All the appliances are new and updated. I kept wishing my kitchen had them! They thought of everything except a guest book. Which was ok because I was able to pick one out and start the first memory page. For future renters don't forget to share your experience.

Griffin Cottage was a beautiful spot on the ocean. We loved spending time on the deck and being so close to Boothbay Harbor. The house was charming and comfortable with good-sized bedrooms and amazing views of the water.

Well I didnt really need to interact with the rental agency all that much. As soon as we decided on a property and the week we were going to rent, everything was on autopilot and that I appreciated the most. I think that the first time we rented I left my wetsuits in a bag that was easily returned to me and that was the only problem and it was one that I created.

Bay Breeze had plenty of room for us all to be out of each others way but also enough room for us all to come together. Those are the features that we look for in a rental property. This rental also had the added ability to deliver an area where we all could participate in food preparation for meals and to eat together which for our family is important. Lincolnville has become a unique area over the past few years but also it is in perfect position between Rockland and Belfast, which has seen its own resurgence. Open water swimming is important to myself and the coastline here is perfect with no obstacles and between tides this property had a place to hang out and to be on the water. The country roads off of Route 1 provided for excellent 30 to 40 mile early morning bike rides and there were plenty of fresh water swimming opportunities also at Norton pond and Megunticook lake. As an added bonus there are some nice short hikes nearby in Camden.

On the water in Maine was very easy to work with and we had no trouble gaining entry or checking in and out.

The Loons Nest was a beautiful vacation home in the scenic town of Searsmont. Our view of the lake was breathtaking! We kayaked to the island in the lake one day and swam while we were over there.(something we would not do in Florida) The water is refreshing and clear and we were able to see the mountains. We both agreed that being in the home and the lake was like stepping into a beautiful portrait. Though there was no a/c in the home, with the powerful ceiling fans and portable fans we were never in need of it. It was so peaceful there and we slept in every morning. The home is centrally located, so going places was not a long trip. Truly cannot say anything bad about this property!

I have found On the Water in Maine to be very responsive the very few times we had minor issues. I think they run a tight ship, with the result that problems are few and far between.

This is my 4th visit to the Jones cottage and it is always a delight , particularly since I grew up there. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, although I think the bed in the small pink room could use a foam topper or something similar - that bed is extremely hard. As a cook I especially appreciate how well the house is supplied with all manner of implements and pots and pans.
