Arrival, checkin, and settling in as smooth as silk! Quickly felt like home away from home

Very relaxing location - not always easy to choose between watching the water from upper deck of the house or porch of the cabin.

Our experience with the agency was excellent. When there was a glitch getting into the garage apartment, and the lack of A/C units, the staff were immediately receptive and fixed the problems. Courtesy and efficiency. I would not hesitate to recommend you.

At Waters Edge was a home away from home. There was nothing missing at all: from the binoculars and bird books to the fully equipped kitchen, we didnt need to look for anything more. Our entire family was delighted with the property and its magical essence.

On the Water has always been great to work with all the years we have been coming. The detailed directions they give for tricky properties are great!

The cottage was comfortable and lovely. It was clean and had everything you need. The only minus to us was the lack of a view. The trees blocked most of the scenery with a very small opening.

On the Water in Maine Inc. is just top notch. The process is organized, the communications are timely and complete, and everything is as close to effortless on out part as anyone could hope for.

This is the second year we have rented a cabin on Lake Quantabacook through On the Water in Maine, Inc. Of course the lake itself is a big favorite for us. The cabin we rented this year was very welcoming, everything we needed was ready for us to relax and enjoy our vacation. The outdoor table overlooking the lake was very nice, we ate there most nights enjoying the sunset.

On the Water in Maine covered all the bases. I found the company to be very organized & very responsive to my questions.

Very comfortable home with everything needed to cook a gourmet meal if you should so desire. We were a family of 6 & couldn't have been happier with the set up. Lovely deck, dock & views from the glass sided home. Great little beach to pull kayaks up onto. The loft with 2 single beds worked well for the 2 teenage girls. We all had a ball swimming, boating, fishing, reading, cooking & playing games at night. The teenagers learned how to water ski there.

Always the professionals, it seemed everything was meticulously cared for and orchestrated. Instructions were clear, tourist opportunities available in the many brochures and pamphlets left in plain view. All went smoothly and comfortably.

I loved it all! The 2 cottages are charming, comfortable and well situated with lovely views of the cove and islands. It felt like the real Maine - seaweed, water, rocks, meadow next door, spruce trees encircling the property, boats on the water, and that deliciously fresh sea breeze. It was quiet and peaceful.

We haven't had any problems in the many years we've rented through OTWM. We usually get the locations and the weeks requested.

The view and cottage are wonderful. We love the wooded road leading to the home and the accessibility of the rocky coast and seeing many birds among the trees and water fowl.

Your staff is responsive and resolution oriented.

The house we stayed in looked out on the cove. We viewed spectacular sunsets through floor to ceiling windows. The house had a calming affect.

On the Water staff are super nice and helpful and pleasant to work with! Will definitely use them again for vacation plans!!

The property was just as advertised and the process to rent was super easy! The directions were spot on and there was so much to do in the area. The lake was warm and the weather was perfect and the dock made swimming and fishing very enjoyable!!

I found the site very helpful - staff provided necessary info and it was easy to book and pay for.

I have stayed at many cottages and Woodland Lodge is the best ever! Lovely location amongst tall shade trees on a side road with little traffic. Large back garden with badminton net, flowers and grass. large deck with umbrella table and many chairs. Inside woodwork following woodsy theme (banisters of rounded branches, some walls of weathered gray boards) all with all modern conveniences - heater if necessary, good water, full baths with showers on main and second floors. I chose this cottage because it had bedroom and bath on ground floor, accessible to my stiff knees! And everything else was well equipt - plenty of cooking utensils, large refridgerator, DISH WASHER! Towels and linen, shelf spaces in bath, plenty of screened windows and screened doors to the deck and nice sunroom with comfortable furniture. Five stars! *****

We loved the screen porch for our meals and just relaxing in the evening. We wanted a true Maine cottage and Compass Rose didnt disappoint. The location was very peaceful during the week, but the neighbors above were noisy on the weekends late at night.

Everything was seamless working with On the Water in Maine.

Wonderful views of the water. Great to sit on nice deck and watch the circles of Pogies (we think) and Sturgeon jumping out of the water. Very peaceful quiet setting. Close to Boothbay and shopping.

The ability for everyone to have their own bedroom; having our own dock to swim, fish, use the kayaks and paddle boards we brought; the screened porch that enabled us to sit outside in the evenings, the outside showers that we all enjoyed; the wonderfully stocked kitchen with a fabulous stove; the air conditioning that we certainly had a need for a few days and nights. All of these things truly made our stay just perfect. There is only one thing that needs attention: some of the blinds on the windows were broken or not there.

The agency was very easy to work with. There was an issue of our lockbox not working. I do wish some attempt had been made to contact us about that.

This was a great house for our family of 8. There were plenty of bathrooms, seating, and comfortable beds for all of us. Unfortunately for us, we stayed a week that was very hot and humid. This house has no AC, but we knew that ahead of time. I would defiantly rent this house again but would try for a cooler time. there were fans available for every bedroom. We absolutely loved Belfast. The town is not overrun by tourists and has a great walking path along the water. We went to the co-op and farmers market several time.

On the Water has always been accommodating and responsive. This year our trash was not picked up on the scheduled day. I called to report it and by the time we returned to the cottage by the end of the day, some one from OTW had come by, disposed of the trash and returned the barrel to the proper place.

This is our 4th year renting the Lightkeeper and it never disappoints. We love the view from our deck and the short walk to the village of Rockport. The house is very well stocked with everything that we need. Every year at the end of the week we have our kids join us for lobster on the deck overlooking the harbor. What could be a more fitting end to a lovely and relaxing week?

We love the cottage- everything about it! The interior and the way that it is decorated, the wrap-around porch and the close proximity to the water. The cottage was well-appointed; we had everything we needed. The master bedroom mattress was so comfortable- I haven't slept that well in a long time!!
